FYI: I'm a retired from the U.S. Army living overseas in the Dominican Republic. We do have here specialized medical clinics with VA approval that work only with veterans from the United States Armed. It's wonderful because we don't have to travel back to the US for medical treatment neither have to pay upfront in most of the cases.

Of course, many of these state level benefits (property tax, vehicle registration, etc) are different based on where you’re at. Indiana allows disabled plates for all vehicles registered to you, for example.

Im 73, Vietnam combat vet…pt 100%. Took me 37 years but my very last appeal was only me and the judge in wash. Dc.
I simply laid out my claim item by item…they gave me back pay and pt 100%

I submitted the student loan forgiveness in 2021 at 100% schedular before my P&T and received the forgiveness and the full property tax exemption (Texas) which saves me 11k a year

Great info. Thank you. Another tip with the license plate is in Texas at least, you can ask for everything including the wheelchair logo so you won't need the blue placard.
