My overall combined rating is 80% I have 5 rated disabilities. With those I applied for IU and was granted P&T no further exams. My disabilities got so bad since being discharged I could not maintain employment. I had to use independent council to acquire the decision because I have been trying since 1986, and was awarded in 2017. If you get the stone wall from the VA there are people who know these laws and fight on your behalf. Thanks for your video.

Update 3-28-2023 Just got off the phone with a very nice lady at the VA. And she states the following..if your service connected "static"rating or ratings equal 100% then you are permanent and Total. All of your ratings Do Not have to be Static for P&T. You can have 10 rated disabilities in which 6 are "static" and 4 are not but the 6 equals 100% and therefore P&T. It is a MYTH that all your connected disabilities have to be "static" for P&T status. Hope this helps fellow Vets CivDiv is Correct about all of this Period!

I will say. I do have SC for migraines and are 100PT. I’ve conducted a plethora of research myself regarding static status and it’s has said that once you’ve been granted or awarded the P&T status that all of your rated disabilities that add up to the 100% P&T do become static. I’ve even researched the definition of static, it means permanent 😬 that’s Marine education for you. Godspeed 🇺🇸

How does the age 55 rule play into re-evaluations? What is the VA 55-year-old rule? Veterans who receive VA disability benefits for service-connected conditions are exempt from periodic future examinations once they turn 55 years old. This includes veterans who will be 55 by the date of a future examination, according to the VA Adjudication Procedures

New VA guidance is to make every service connected condition static unless absolutely necessary (cancer, clear proof of improvement etc) all of my conditions are rated as static even my mental health.
