To be honest. I love the Wii U no matter if it sold poorly.

It cost too much, should have called the Wii 2, The controller was too confusing for older gamers

3:51 TBH, that was one of the only games I wanted when the Wii U was announced. Made me actually buy one. Although I was a stupid kid and thought it was a launch title

for number five, nintendo never had a problem with branding, like super nintendo and nes, and gameboy.

1-)that the people considered a wii add on
2-)lack of third party support
3-)too expensive

A lot of this comes down to one thing: Nintendo didn't lead the way at launch.

Since a common complaint over the years had been "Only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo hardware, " they decided to put the spotlight on third-parties at the Wii U's launch. The problem? Third-parties are testing the waters at launch, especially when it comes to a new concept like the Gamepad. Nintendo were looking to those developers to come up with great design choices showcasing what the Gamepad was capable of, but those parties were waiting for Nintendo to do that. Nintendo assumed Nintendoland would be the game to accomplish this, but as we all know it wasn't. It's a fun collection for what it is when you have a group for local play, but it wasn't the new Wii Sports like Nintendo had hoped. Nobody had that "a-ha" moment ready, so systems didn't sell. When systems didn't sell, developers weren't as motivated to put effort into designing for the Gamepad. With a diminishing in outside support and not enough to fill their year lead over the Xbox One and PS4, Nintendo had to speed development along, and most of the worthwhile content released 2014 with some stragglers in 2015 (and 3D World in 2013). When that didn't move the needle enough, resources were reallocated to Switch and 3DS, and 2015 onward was a dry period.

It's a long line of cause and effect, stemming back to no one developer coming forward with that system-defining game in 2012. The right software equals sales, and sales with the right attach rate leads to more support. Even if the concept is something like the Gamepad, the right sales numbers will lead developers to "make it work." With Zelda, Splatoon 2, Arms and Super Mario Odyssey lined up for 2017, Switch is already in a better place than Wii U was in 2012.

I never saw an ad on the wiiU
i do believe the name was a big turndown to the console
i do believe that the power it had was really low, and that helped to hurt the amount of games it had

One of the things that I dislike about the Wii U is that you're unable to play your game cube games like on the regular Wii.

You didn't really seam to mention this in the video, but the gamepad is used as a second screen for certain games, such as new super mario bros U, Mario Kart 8, and assassins creed, and pretty much all Lego based video games at this point. I've been using it for that purpose since I got mine.

Let's not forget that since there is virtually NO extra memory ON the system to download digital games and other content, you ARE FORCED to purchase an external storage device (an extra $80+), and it NEEDS IT'S OWN POWER SOURCE or the Wii-U will not be able to access it. That should be reason number 6.

A list of Switch launch titles I'd love to see:

A new IP that'd they'd use later on like Splatoon

Hyrule Warriors

A new Pokemon game

A new Animal Crossing

Mega Man 12 (If possible)

World of Final Fantasy (Vita port)

Splatoon

A Splatoon spinoff

A new Mario platformer (Have they did 2.5D yet?)

Super Mario Run port (+ Expanded features with new characters like Wario, Rosalina, and Miis)

A new Klonoa game (Not likely but I want this because it will show that they could expand their third party library a bit more than just Sonic and Pacman)

A new originally made First Person shooter (Not like metroid but something like Medal of Honor or Call of Duty. I don't like this but this could help Nintendo a ton if another company affiliated with Nintendo made some kind of M rated game like Xbone and PS4. A big problem with Nintendo is that they capture the kid friendly image too much)

Mortal Kombat X (Like before)

New Kid Icarus game

Mario Kart 11

Mario Party

Nintendo MMORPG that heavilly uses Amiibos. (If one does not, they could be their miis. Mii fighters will expand the library of weapons and skills that the miis could use)

Tomodachi life 2

Animal Crossing spinoff based on... ME!

Scribblenauts

Fallout Shelter (Mobile port)

Fallout 1 (PC port. Once again, kid friendly image)

Of course, not ALL of them will be in the Switch.
