So the Wii U ( apart from storage, library, and some small issues ) had the potential to be Nintendo's best selling console ( for it's time ) if it wasn't for it's horrible advertising and how quickly after the wii it was released

FYI the Wii controllers will also work for some Wii U games. Just check the back of the box to see compatible controllers. I use them for multiplayer in Mario Kart 8 and Smash Bros for Wii U.

You can use the gamepad as a sensor too in case you lost or broke yours.

Ok, so last Saturday, on October 8, I went to a birthday party, which had a game truck. I brought my copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii along with me and played the game on a Wii console outside the truck, and inside, I inserted the disc into a Wii U and played the game on it. I chose to play on both the TV and the GamePad. I was able to try out the Wii U's backward compatibility with Wii software for the first time. I also found out what the TV button on the GamePad does.

Really wish I had this console.

It's sad the GameCube adapter for Wii U doesn't let you connect GameCube controllers in Wii mode.
