To Make Lentil Patties
Onion - 1 No.
Garlic - 5 Cloves
Green Chilli - 3 Nos
Cumin Powder - 1 1/2 Tsp
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Servings: 4-5
METHOD
1. Wash and soak toor dal in water for 2 hours.
2. After 2 hours, transfer the soaked dal to a large bowl, add the chopped onion, garlic, green chilli, salt, pepper powder, red chilli flakes, cumin powder and mix well.
3. Lastly add some finely chopped coriander leaves and mix it all well.
4. Then coarsely pulse the prepared dal mixture in a blender in small batches.
5. Make sure the patty mixture is not too fine.
6. Once done, make medium thickness out of the mixture.
7. Apply some oil on a pan/tawa and heat it.
8. Once the pan is hot, place the patties on it and cook them on both sides until they are golden brown in color.
9. Yummy Lentil patties are ready to be served hot and nice with mayonnaise or ketchup by the side.
