I'll do my best to explain the reasons here:
1st one: using black for shading can often look dull or strange in art, but sometimes it can be used in cool ways, like crosshatching.
2nd: Just duplicating the eye can make the drawing look cross-eyed, unsettling plus you won't learn how to actually draw the second eye. It's better to plan them both out from the start (But this technique can still be used, you just gotta know how)
3rd: Overusing the airbrush tool removed the sharp lines and defined shadow that a lot of objects have, but of course the airbrush has it's uses, you just have to keep in mind the shape and material of what you're drawing.
4th: Not using guidelines can make it harder to figure out where features are placed, what the perspective is, and how big everything is in proportion. Some artists don't use guidelines because of how their workflow, style or skill level is, but it's good to use guidelines.
(I am not a professional artist or anything, I just enjoy creating art and helping people out, so I might be wrong with some of these)

I do flip the eye but without the pupil and I usually redraw it and then add the pupil

Edit: what Im saying is that Kooleen duplicates the eyes, in her drawings but they still somehow look fantastic 🤨

me who uses guidelines but don't trust them XD but duplicating and using air brush is relatable af

Btw some artists do not use guidelines when drawing faces!
