Thanks for the tip! I recall seeing this explained before, but not as well. Always a circle shoved in the middle, or an egg shape.

Trying the technique actually improved my face drawings quite a bit. And it made the facial proportions much more stable, so I could draw a few different angles better!

Just leaving this here: in order to actually find the halfpoint of a rectangle in perspective, join the diagonals. That way it will actually look correct.
