Tim and kittens are equal opportunity balls of energy. They want to play with everybody and everything.

I bought my 1023e about a year ago and I continue to come here as a guide to understanding the fundamentals of these machines. Today I learned that there is an override switch for going backwards.
Update:
I just mowed and can definitely share that I saved 20-30 minutes of cut time because I used the PTO override. The smallest things can make the biggest difference. Thanks, Tim!

Good work taking the time to spend the time with Nolan & show him how to do the different things with the 1025R. Stay safe.

Mr. Tim. . . . . one of the best ideas ive had to use on steep or uneven terrain, was i attached my backhoe attatchment & used the lowest outrigger pad for stability as well as swing around & use the backhoe arm boom & bucket for stability as well.

Food for thought, It has been brought to my attention that blowing the grass clippings onto the road is a hazard to motorcycles. I never really thought about it but after I was informed by several bike owners I can appreciate their concern. Keep up the great videos!

That was really nice of you to let Nolan operate your tractor. He did a great job.

What a great opportunity for Nolan to get extensive seat time prior to a potential tractor purchase. I hope you and Christy realize the impact you guys are having on your viewers, especially during these difficult times we are living in. Your videos provide first hand information, entertainment, inspiration, and sometimes a needed laugh. God bless you two and stay healthy.

Thanks for all of your videos. I thought it was great when I started to recognize places in your videos. I only live about an hour south of you. I bought a 1025R about two weeks ago. I have already put about 20 hours on it. I have built a pull off for my camper and trailer, moved 22 ton of rock, graded the driveway, removed an old fence, and plowed a garden. I find myself coming up with projects just so I can use the tractor. Keep up the great work. God bless you and your family.

I love my 1025R. The only issue I had was the reverse shut off BS switch. That is the only issue I see with this tractor. But a short utube video a zip tie and not having to cut or splice any wire. Reverse mow is no longer a problem. It only takes about 10mins from start to finish. And does not void any warranty. Now I love it 100%

We have a Woods PRD-8400 grooming mower. Best cut quality I've EVER seen in 60 years of cutting grass!!

I like that I can just mow in reverse on my BX23S no need to push a button. Hope you got the clippings off the road.

Tim I remember you from the tractor forums years ago. I'll probably finally get a sub-compact tractor but will end up keeping my 13 year old X500 for mowing. It's a killer mower and light weight. That will save me some money for more attachments. But I think Nolan is sold on the 1025R

Tim, I think you have stumbled onto something great. “Tractor Training with Tim”. Offer a class where the student can have hands on experiences not afforded during the buying experience. Another great video.

I like watching you treat others with kindness. Sadly it's rare these days.
I just wish you were "tractoring" with an 8N ! 🤣

Hi Tim and Christi, I've really enjoyed these videos with Nolan and I'm not even looking to buy another tractor. I also want to thank you for that little tip about the arms being a little out of sync with each other on the quick attach. It just so happens that I noticed mine does the same thing and I was thinking just today that I may have to contact my Massey dealer to see if there is something wrong with my tractor. Now I don't have to make that call and embarrass myself! Thanks again!

This was one of the best comprehensive vids showing how the disconnects and reconnects function. I'm currently researching compact tractors so I can purchase one this Spring after the mud season here in Vermont. I have to mow about 3 acres of steep terrain (over a 25% grade) and my Cub Cadet XT2 is just not cutting it (pun intended). Since I really want the ability to utilize a bucket, belly mower and brush hog I think this JD 1025R fits the bill for my needs. Thanks again for the demo and I'll be sure to have the dealership let me test one out before I purchase a new one. Thanks for sharing.

I have the same reverse switch on my d120 mower... it’s so annoying. Instead of looking behind me to see what’s going on I gotta find the button and mess with that. So I got wired it so the mower always thinks it’s pressed and then I some more work and repurposed the button for a car horn. Ever since I did that it has made life much easier.

On my Kubota's I use colored zip ties on the hose protectors. cheap way of keeping the color code. those caps break often. It also holds the hose protectors in place
