Important Change to SEO (New Google Algorithm Update)

Google just released the August 2025 core update.

Here are my early findings.

Similar to the UGC you the August 2024 update we've seen the largest gains specifically to Q&A landing pages on our customers sites, where businesses are simply answering customer questions effectively to satisfy the customer's informational needs (regardless of the length of the answer, which Google has communicated regularly they don't care about and seems to hold true). Before the updates on average those Q&A landing pages were responsible for about 9% of our customer's organic traffic. If the recent lift sustains, the Q&A (powered by Answerbase) could be responsible for somewhere between 25% and 45% of our customer's overall traffic. It's all about supporting the customer's information needs well....and publishing that (when appropriate) to service searchers as well.

Google just killed my e-commerce site as of August 15th! They already cut my traffic in half with their previous update. We’re getting literally nothing now.

how are these tips a change to seo, based on the new google algo update?

Nathan what are your thoughts on seo services hyper focusing on one main aspect of seo such as local, onpage etc? We do everything in seo but its a lot of irons in the fire. Difficult at times to get clients consistently as they seem confused as to them thinking i don't know or think i need all that and it seems to paralyze them in decision making. I think I might be trying to do too much. Your thoughts are appreciated.

2. Would you say writing for a v keyword with High KD (50+) that's very relevant is BETTER one that's less relevant but has less KD (>10) for a "New Website"?

Haven't really ever been affected by these, couldn't tell why. Maybe I never had a site being "important" enough, but one of my sites lost 75%of its traffic over night a few days ago. :|
