I think this is the easiest abstract algebra book. It really is perfect for beginners. It's called Abstract Algebra: A First Course and it was written by Dan Saracino.

Hey Math Sorcerer, you can easily fix that ripped corner by applying a bit of Elmer's glue.

Can you do a review on "Plane Trigonometry" by SL Loney

There was a second edition in 2008 and it added 5 new sections on fields, extensions, Galois theory and solvability.

Getting a second perspective (or more) on a topic in addition to the required course text is very helpful.

Thanks for review! Am trying to start a journey learning proofs and abstract math this year. How would you suggest learning with this book for example (writing on a notebook, or just reading through and annotating)?

All of this topic seems relevant to error control coding. I can't imagine any other field that would use anywhere near as much of what is apparently covered by this book. If anyone knows a field with nearly as much overlap over abstract algebra as error correction codes I'd like to know what it is. This brings me to a related topic, being that some people don't need practical applications while others such as myself absolutely need ostensibly practical applications in mind to focus.

Your book it in great condition compared to some of mine. I have math books that I have carried around a lot and used very.often that are literally ragged. But the information in them is still good S new.

I think I would start with this easy book first.
But what book on Abstract Algebra should one read after reading this one?

As someone who hasn’t gone through pre-calculus, some trigonometry knowledge, but has a greater knowledge of algebra. Which math class would be more helpful in understanding aerospace engineering and math involved. Statistics or Calculus? I understand I should take both, but which one first in your opinion?

The book I used in college was Elements of Abstract and Linear Algebra by Edwin H. Connell. It was a free pdf on his web page at the University of Miami. I had a hard time with it. Everything in the book was oriented towards developing vector spaces. I remember the 3 books that helped me get through that course were: A course in group theory by John F. Humphreys, A book of abstract algebra by Charles Pinter, and Basic Abstract Algebra by Bhattacharya, Jain, and Nagpaul.

Could you go through a proof of the orbit stabilizer theorem? I have been self studying group theory from Joseph A. Gillian Contemporary Abstract Algebra and have been struggling to understand this proof.

Have an Abstract Algebra exam tomorrow, at 3:30 when you said "which might end up being test questions" and show question 3:11, that exact question showed up on the last exam! :)

What would you say are the prerequisites for this book? I've found a love for math in recent months, and after going a couple weeks ahead in my AP Calc (covers both AB and BC or college Calc 1 and 2), I've been looking for something to self study alongside my calculus class that won't interfere with it. Thanks! :)

What about “Minimum countorexamples in Group theory book by Desmond Machale book” ? where i purchase this book

What about "A Book of Abstract Algebra" by "Charles C. Pinter"?
Is it good for self-studying?
Your suggestion would be highly appreciated.

Do you recommend any books on vector analysis/tensor analysis?

Nice review! I wonder if this book is on a similar level as Herstein's Abstract Algebra book, not Topics in Algebra.

Will working this book fill in any deficiencies you have in linear algebra? My weak points are abstract vector spaces/subspaces, and inner product spaces.

By watching you paging the book, to me it's not even an abstract algebra, it's rather a basic foundation of or introduction to algebra. What do you think?
