I’m ALWAYS looking for proof based books on various math subjects. Proof based is my preference

This is almost a standard textbook for math major in Taiwan.
Every math major has one.

It was recommended for my linear algebra course in uni... certainly helped a lot!

I love the algorithm sometimes. I’ve been actively searching for a proof-based book just because I don’t have the definitions and theorems down for my course this semester.

Used this textbook for Linear II, when I was in college.

Can you please put the description (title, author, publisher, edition, and possibly price as well) in the comments? The way you hold and move the book (slightly shaky screen) makes it difficult for me to gain all info I need. Thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out circular algebra, I'm not ready for linear yet.

Linear Algebra by G.E Shilov. Is it one of the best linear algebra books?

Isn’t Gilbert Strang Linear algebra and it’s applications

Or Axler Linear algebra done right more popular?

Is this better or linear algebra done right is better?

Hello,
My linear algebra needs are for control engineering. Apart from the basics taught to everyone, we also make use of SVD decomposition and properties of the Jordan canonical form. Sometimes the matrix inversion lemma appears too.
The tricky part is that English books are pricey here and we can't find used copies.
Which books can you recommend? Here are a few titles I found besides the book presented in this video.
The book by Axler (not sure if it covers my needs but cheap), the book by Alan Laub (matrix analysis for Scientists and Engineers) which is also kind of proof based, not too expensive but hard to find here, the book by Strang, which is nice but too verbose, not proof based and expensive.
Hope I can find a good proof based book that's under 90 euros...
For example, the book by Friedberg has a global international edition which is about 70 euros but lacks the last chapter about Jordan form... The normal edition is 160 euros...

Have you used Linear algebra done right?

I wonder what is in a "non-proof-based" book on algebra.
Discourse on the metaphysical manifestaion of "zero?"
Euclid's recipe for stuffed grape leaves?
