I'm gonna go out soon and see where that leak is coming from. between you and the confidence you've given me, and other a vid from jennies garage where he successfully fixed that plastic, i'm at least educated enough to look for the dam leak and think that it is something I can handle. I fixed my own house a/c last year from a youtube vid. repairman wanted $1400, I fixed for $135!!! LOL yay!

I currently have 3 cars not working and 3 people that need to get to work and little$. I just did the first part. Waiting for epoxy. If this works, i cant express how much you have helped a really bad situation and my family.I hope that was the only leak. It was along the seam . Thanks so much.

Thanks for this! My radiator had a crack in it and started leaking today. Didn't have a soldering iron handy, so I picked up some quicksteel and sealed it up (after de-greasing and sanding)... No leaking after the first test drive, looks like it is going to hold up for a while. Thanks again!

This actually makes more sense and seems easier to do than most of the other content on youtube. I'll give it a try.

Thanks mate. Had a leak in the top tank. Done as you did in your vid with great results. You made it super easy and gave this female the confidence to be able to do it and pull it off. So thanks again mate.

It's the mechanics like you, in general back yard clothes, with basic tools... the people who look like the the part... that really know how to repair things instead of just tossing and replacing parts.

Thank you.

Mechanic work. You're doing it right.

2:49. Actually, the Advanced Auto associate told me to rolling back and forth in your hands, folding it over twice, repeat x3. This will make should make for an even mix. Thanks for the soldering tip!

Thanks for sharing this idea... I may try this fix on my daughters Toyota radiator. It has a seam-like leak on the one side in an unexpected location. I don't think there was an actual seam there. But it is a gaping straight-line crack, and it leaks pretty bad now. I think it got worse over the past month so, now we can't ignore it any longer. I like your idea of using epoxy over the solder patch. I just hope the layer of plastic is thick enough to accept a melt-seal fix. It is a light-grey color, not the typical radiator black plastic. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks again.

plastic radiators are just a stupid idea. radiators are definatly something that needs strength and heat resistance. nice fix though.

I''ve been saving one of those plastic tanked radiators that's cracked, I was thinking of vee-ing out the crack and putting some JB water weld in there. After seeing this I'll get out the soldering iron first. I'll have a free working radiator for my engine run stand now!

Thank you! very helpful video. With your video we fixed a leak on our Mercedes for less than $30.00. Much less than was quoted for a new radiator.

Perfect.  Exactly what I needed.  Only problem is my leak is on the side so getting an soldering iron to the area will be difficult; may have to just use the epoxy method.  Thanks for posting!
