It’s 2023 and the world has gone crazy but old Scotty Kilmer videos are still good.👍👍

I like that you cut straight to the point but also cover most of the steps needed to get the fix done unlike a lot of those other channels that spend 15 minutes explaining nothing.

But a quick question: once you've fixed the line, do you still need to vacuum the line before refilling with freon?

I really enjoyed this episode, because it's genuine repair, (simple, but effective), not just replacing defective parts which can be quite expensive. Most of us have to do more from less nowadays.

@missgearhead good luck welding a thin aluminum AC line. and yes, it was rubbing, so I bent the lines and assembly so it didn't rub any more. I cut the lines with a tubing cutter if you really want to know. The lines had notches in them from the factory.

Scotty - thank you! The condenser in my car has had a pinhole leak, and the quote was to replace the whole condenser! Over here it's illegal to regas your own A/C system, but you can do repairs to the lines. Thanks!

@hp11208 No, they use different splice kits, but normally the rubber is shot and fixing one hose hole is dumb, cause more will soon crop up. Change the whole hose . Scotty

Good day sir, yeah that´s easy to fix, how about to fix a rubber hose connect to a metal pipe? I have ac leak, the hose from compressor to condenser of my volvo s60 non turbo 2001. I coudn´t find any replacement because volvo is not making it anymore. Because maybe its already a vovo not volvo.

Thanks for your video!!
Question: what if the hole is on part of a corner where the tube curves? Can this method still work or should we buy a new hose?
