I like the Grand Seiko here, though the stingy lume is almost enough to make me change my mind. But I do love all those exquisitely polished surfaces! It's good to have comparisons of watches such as these that aren't exactly comparable.

I gotta say, whoever invented that Wave pattern on the dial of the Seamaster diver is a genius 👌!!!!
It's just stunning!! Such a brilliant design 👏, I swear I don't want to spend the money on more watches but if omega would do that green dial in a Two Tone Seamaster I'll have to get it!!!!
Come on Omega do it in two tone with 18k yellow gold

I own both of these watches. (Philadelphia Eagles green!) They are both gorgeous, but the Grand Seiko seems to get more time on my wrist for some Omega dial is

Omega. Along with Watch Advisor and He Who Shall Not Be Named, the best watch channel on the Toobs.

Well, this one wasn't even close. I tallied 21 votes Omega to 5 votes GS after a week of being up. Round 4 will be uploaded on Sunday this week.

I really like that spring drive Grand Seiko has. And just love some of their more original aesthetics. Especially that power reserve indicator.

Wave pattern definitely beautiful but the bumpy bevel kind of drives me a bit nuts on the seamasters. Between that and being a pinch too big on the wrist I go GS here. Both beautiful really well executed watches, can’t really go wrong.

As a long time owner of an original Seamaster 300M Professional since 2001, I really love the Omega but I would pick the Grand Seiko "Super Hulk" without hesitation. It is a more finely crafted and engineered watch and visually striking. Anyways, the Seamaster 300M to get is the blue one.

Thanks a lot for the video: Chance will have it I was looking for a green watch as a "gada"-watch a local dealer has both, the Omega and the GS used. Your video was perfect for making a decision (it will become the GS)

Omega for the win. This was an easy one!

It is impossible for GS to beat SMD300 green.

A... A... A tapered bracelet on a GS?! Thought I seen it all.

The wave dial is hideous. I couldn’t buy that Seamaster. The Grand Seiko is a bit too tubby for me. I’ll pass on both.

A better comparison would have been the Grand Seiko SLGA023 “Ushio” from the Evolution 9 collection.

Aesthetic only, the GS looks like it’s asleep in your lights.

Hi Brad, if you'd selected the SBGM245/7 to pit against the Omega I'd have gone for the Grand Seiko. As it is I'll take the Omega please. Have a good weekend, 🍻🍻🍻

What’s the best watch I can get for under $1000?

As a GS fan I would give this one to the omega. I don't care for gmt dials. Not a fair comparison though. You need two divers.

I love GS, But in this case, I'd go for omega.

Omega, I don't even need to watch the video.
