I compare the Omega Aqua Terra to the Grand Seiko SBGA375.

Both watches are excellent and belong in any collection, but if you had to choose one, which would it be?

I have a 6.5 inch wrist.

I own both Omega and Grand Seiko watches (not the ones listed here) and I am certain that you can’t go wrong with either. Both look awesome and whichever watch catches your eyes aesthetically then go with that as Omega makes beautiful watches and so does Grand Seiko. I would buy either as they are both excellent.

When you look at the second hand, the answer is quite obviously. Spring drive is my all time favour.

Sold my Aquaterra for a GS last year. The GS is miles ahead.

The METAS certification, 15, 000 Gauss anti-magnetism, 150m water resistance, and more contemporary styling tips it in favor of the AT. Great comparison video; can’t go wrong with either.

I just love GS movement’s so refreshing. The spring drive is mesmerising.

Insightful and informative. I have the SBGA469 Katsu-Iro Indigo Spring Drive and LOVE it. I also have a mountain of respect for Omega. Only one request ; Please put a soft cloth on the table so we can't hear the watches crashing down. Otherwise, great video. Thanks

I'm lucky enough to have both. They are incredibles. The Omega AT has a superbe green dial, more versatile, and I have more positive comments on the OMEGA than with the GS. But as a watch enthusiast, I prefer the finishing of the GS that is simply unbeatable. The indices from GS are striped vertically, like with a knife, if you look closely ! All is done to catch the light, and it works great. The hands from the GS, even without loom, are way more exceptional that the AT (what about the second sweep !!!). The down side on both are the bracelets that are fine but not exceptional compare to the case even if i prefer the GS one. Both have an incredible movement with a advance on GS if you accept to compare different technology. So, the great textured green dial perfectly balanced or the more classic blue sunburst dial but with gorgeous saber hands in a perfect finished case ? If i had to choose, I just could not...

GS is on another level, hand crafting at it best!!!

I opted for and love my SBGA375, it just felt right on my wrist, yes it's attracted loads of patina in the form of scratches but I'm cool with that. I wear it daily and over each month its just over a second out.. the dial can appear the blackest of blacks through to the deepest of blues and even purple, I love the way it catches and plays with the light.. enjoyed your vid an insta post brought me here dude

Both nice watches. I have a Snowflake and it is my everyday watch. I like the power reserve. I probably would go with the GS, but I wouldn’t be unhappy with the Omega.

Oh man! I love both BUT it’s AT for me. It’s just that sportier edge, which I prefer in an every day watch and soooo many size options. I also prefer the AT bracelet 🙈.

The capped seconds hand is such a nice added little detail. Oddly enough the SBGP001 does not have the capped second hand and I have to say that tiny detail helped push me to the SBGP005 instead. Thanks for the video! Beautiful watches.

I started with a GS SBGA203 and later added the green Aqua Terra to my rotation (same model as this video), no doubt the GS is more formal for the office and is streets ahead in quality, the Omega is more versatile and can be dressed down for weekend wear. The spring drive is magical and of course knocks down the AT in accuracy. I can't imagine life without either of them now 😊

I went to the AD last year and tried on both of these. He was willing to do a discount for the Aqua Terra but not Grand Seiko.

Like both but the omega looks like a toy next to the GS. Love that smooth sweep.

I would personally choose the omega because I love the brand, but I have to admit that the GS looks more luxurious.
