9800X3D it is. This Intel fanboy was highly disappointed.

This cpu stack feels like an Intel crowd funding campaign.

You think the chips are "good"? They make gains in only a few productivity apps, not even most of them, and it's a generational loss in gaming

So you think chips that are more expensive, slower and consume more power not to mention reportedly less stable than the competition are "good"?

I do think there's performance left on the table somewhere

I don't know if you touched on this before, but is there a reason why you and many other youtubers use 1080P Ultra instead of 1080P Medium or Low to make sure you get as close of a 100% bottleneck as you can? Not knocking you at all, just curious.

hope this doesn't come across a a dumb question, i do alot of game dev work in UE5 and modelling in blender but not rendering so i would it be best for me to go with the 7800x3d or the 9950x??
7800x3D has the best gaming performance but 9950x has the cores... does UE5 need more cores to run better or not? currently using TR 1950x so im in need so some speed

always your benchmarks not accure, not true, ,, 9950x in cinebench r24 score= 2350 not 2100

when you change amd cpu, you must instal new fresh windows + chipset + put power on balance not performance

i think in your video dont show benchmarks or show hardwareunbox results (they very accure)

So if i want to upgrade from an 8 year old system, what cpu should i look at as an everyday driver. For gaming and productivity uses?

8 core max, still the same and this odd power delivery.

The only people these parts could make sense for would be either Intel fanboys / AMD haters, or those focused exclusively on certain productivity tasks. This generation seems skippable to me. If I were building a new system today, I'd go with AM5 due to platform maturity, and known longevity.

For me the upcoming Core3 205/215 looks more interesting. Four super fast p-cores at 4.00ghz baseline and four very fast e-cores at 3.3 ghz, ...all 8 cores drawing only 65 watts. We have not seen higher clocked 65 watts cpu's from Intel in a very long time. I hope its priced for less than 140 dollars! It would be a true breakthrough in the entry level segment. I wish there were a Ultra3 215 "k" version. Imagine slapping an inexpensive and fast running entry level "k" cpu on a Z motherboard and overclocking it like mad without fear of burning a 600 dollar chip. Then in a year or so of fun upgrading the rig to a Core Ultra 9.

I'm going to be honest here. I stopped taking YouTube tech channel benchmarks seriously and I think other should also. Primarily because like 95% of the PC market, i will never be spending thousands for a top end GPU. Thusly, i will never be in a situation where my system is CPU limited and if anything, I will be GPU balanced or GPU limited. As a result, the outcomes of benchmarking / tests from your channel as well as from others like J2C, HUB, GN, etc; simply don't apply to me and never will. Truth be told, using mid-range graphics, the real difference in between AMD and Intel parts is likely very little if any at all. Another reason, i stopped taking this stuff seriously is channels like yours have become far too narrative driven and as a result, i no longer have trust that you are doing true unbiased work. It's like all you guys talk in the background and have formed a hivemind for pushing a singular point. This gives me the viewer, the impression that your thoughts are more of a consensus vs being your honest perception. Lastly, people making CPU choices based on these results; if not buying a top end GPU, you will never see the benefits these guys highlight to influence your decision making. So, it is fool hearty to make a decision based on what you see here if you don't plan to build the same system on display here.

I am thinking that due to the glut of cores, hyperthreading is probably not needed.
I applaud every effort to reduce power usage from Intel.
They are of course, responding to criticism from our reviewers about power consumption.

I have seen plenty of reviews of this, it was released too early, but it's a very promising future.
