“Intel's new flagship Core Ultra 9 285K processor loses to the Core i9-14900K, 13900K, and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, 7800X3D, and even the Ryzen 7 7700X in gaming.”

'Ultra 9 285K', who came up with these new names at Intel? 🤣

It's quite sad that Intel is falling off, their three latest generations all have issues, 13&14th gen damage issues, then Core Ultra crazy disappointing at launch? Intel is really slacking, and its really sad for all us Intel fans. I love AMD and Ryzen but nobody asked for Intel to be THIS bad.

The most powerful Gaming build is 7800x3d. Title is a lie.

I don't get what people are going off about, many people were complaining about the heat and wattage of latest gens. They definitely lowered the power consumption and maintained competitive frames with their first version. I'm personally excited for the next CPU line up after this.

It would be really interesting to see a comparison between this PC and a maxed out 12th gen PC, especially in regards to electricity draw.

Hi so Im thinking of building a upgraded pc from my old one and im kind of stuck on what cpu and gpu to get. Im thinking of getting the ryzen 9 7900x and a rtx 4070 ti super gaming. Will this work together, are they compatible?

Except it isn't the most powerful. So this title is misleading at best.

Someone needs to make a board that has two slots for cpu that you can switch with a button on the board between two chips, one for gaming and one for processing... Yes you need to buy two cpu's but you'd save in the long run running one pc rather than having to buy a gaming pc and a rendering pc for work

Such an unfortunate launch and unfortunate circumstances you guys had to go through. But on the bright side, the actual PC build looks awesome! Lian Li cases continue to be my favorite and the components, especially the fans, complement the build really well!

I truly wonder what PC specs reviewers like PC Centric use. What monitors do they use? Do reviewers have time to game?

when the CES 2025 will be done, you think the prices for gaming pc's will drop a bit? doubting to build a pc now or wait for after the ces so components might drop a bit in price.

The 9 actually refers the amount of cores that are defective/not working. Lower numbers like 3 (used to be i3) have the most defective cores, and 9 (previously i9) has the least.
