If AMD released a CPU and weeks later it still couldn't run a game (Fortnite), intel fanboys would be screaming, "AMD has bad drivers"

I think this will be the shortest lived Intel platform in PC history. Don't be surprised in less then a year there is a revision to it all.

That big fat DNF in Fortnite is the wildest thing to me. That game's bigger than DOOM was in the 90s. You can play it on a toaster. The fact Intel launched a CPU that you actually can't play fortnite on is bizarre to me.

I would love to see how much more efficient Arrow Lake actually is when you run 14th gen at the same power instead of letting it run at max power for the last 3% performance.
I think they'd have more similar efficiency than people think.
I think Arrow Lake only looks much more efficient because of the stock power limits and clock behaviour. Similar to the Ryzen 7 7700X vs 9700X.

The first time "My only competition is myself" was a bad thing. 😂

I'd love to see the 45 game average slide but for 1% low and 0.1% low . That's mostly why i decide to upgrade my gpu most of the time. The 3d vcache chips have been perfect to help alleviate stutters in early access games ;

Thanks, Steve.
Do you plan to make similar comparison benchmark between 14600k and 245k?
Back to you, Steve.

Its impressive how they move to a way more efficient process and still fuck it up

the sets of 5 bar graphs much easier to see.

AMD: +2%/3% vs previous gen Intel: -5% vs previous gen. Other than the 9800x3D, there's absolutely nothing worth buying in this "new" generation of cpus.

This is Intel's Bulldozer.
I'm getting flashbacks of Phenom II x6 1100T vs FX 8150

I need to know how the CPU is attached to that coffee mug :O

That Kryosheet ad is spot on. I just got it for my GPU and CPU and it was a game changer. No more issues with GPU hotspots. No more paste mess. No more GPU thermal degradation over time. Obviously, only worth it if you don't frequently open your components. Love it

The BIOS version used on the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero is quite dated, the latest BIOS Is 1101 dated 11/29, with a couple of newer microcde versions compared to 0805 BIOS. The latest BIOS includes Microcode up to version 0x113, and might be more relevant if testing for new data. In addition, it wasn't disclosed if running in the Windows Power mode of Balanced or High Performance, and we know that High Performance power profile in Windows does deliver higher performance on Arrow Lake CPUs in games.

I can't wait for the next gen GPUs to arrive and watch all of your reviews!

Still can’t believe Intel launched CPU’s this bad

Steve, Stop He's Already Dead!
Jokes aside, Arrow Lake is so bad that I don't think people will remember it in five years.

The new INTEL naming sucks, almost like they knew these CPUs would be so terrible, so they intentionally decided to trick consumers with no easy way to identify them compared to previous generations.
Misleading marketing at its finess.

As always, thank you for including Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Shame that Steve will have to redo all 285k tests after Intel release new microcode that they already announced.
