How to setup your Wyze Lock

In this video, we will go over how to get Wyze Lock installed on your door. You must have an existing, separate deadbolt and the Wyze app to complete setup. Setting up Wyze Lock is easy and only requires a Phillips-head screwdriver and about 15 minutes of your time (Full disclosure: Wyze Keypad installation will also need a drill if you want to permanently attach it to the wall.). Installed mine today. Great Lock. The auto lock when leaving is an excellent feature. No more spilling coffee when leaving

Just installed mine. Pretty simple, thanks wyze. I just voted to have an auto lock enabled when leaving geo fence location; reverse of the auto unlock. I haven't checked the auto unlock, but man do I hope it works flawless. I can't stand digging for my house key! Lol. I have outdoor cam, a couple of regular cams, light bulb and all work perfectly. Great job.

I guess for an old school guy like me, I would have benefited from this info being in the install doc. I figured out and then saw this on the app. It wouldnt hurt to add if you can. Otherwise, enjoying it so far

I found this video helpful but it is out of date to the extent that there are now four adapters available not just the three mentioned here. Too soon to comment on how the lock actually works but for the price it already beats the August Home lock I had. I was an early adopter and it cost $250, was terrible at connecting to my Android phone and battery life only got worse over time. After two years of just moderate usage it broke. This Wyze lock offers all it the same features as the August.

Question: What prevents the lock from unlocking when I approach the door from the inside to see who is at the door? Won't the phone in my pocket accidentally unlock the door for a possible stranger? This lock looks awesome.

Just set mine up, took 28 min with the keypad. Looking forward to see how this performs

Did my install last night. The only issue I had was that the dead bolt wasn't perfectly centered on the frame and the deadbolt had too much resistance for the lock. I had to use a file and widen the plate on the door frame so the lock went in easier.

Good afternoon. How do I set the door to automatically open when I approach it. Through the automatic opening tab, where you need to select a location, the lock does not work correctly.

This lock does not work if your have a key deadbolt on the inside. It looks like I have to go buy a whole new lock to make this work. Sure wish I would have known this

Feature request to Wyze team - I want the one additional option in the auto-lock configuration. An option to auto-lock when you leave home, not just door is closed and a timer. It is basically the reverse of the auto-unlock which uses GPS location to track when you’ve arrived. So with an additional option, if you can configure the door to auto-lock only when GPS indicates that you have left. This feature will make it useful to install this lock on Garage entry doors. Most Americans who live in a house with attached garage, use the garage entry door. I don’t want the auto-lock to happen if I’m home. My kids can get locked into the garage. This will be first in the market and I believe you have all the capability in the hardware to achieve this. Can this feature request be added to your backlog? If not, is there a way for me to customize by writing my own code?

I would have bought one when they first came out but I have a window on my door with the deadbolt fairly close to the window and I wasn't sure if it would fit

Issue I am seeing is with the lock notification.The door is lock but it shows open and I noticed lot of users are saying the same thing. When are you planning to fix it?
