How To Set Up Wyze Cam Pan V3

In this video we teach you how to set up the Wyze Cam Pan V3. The Wyze Cam Pan V3 is a wifi 1080HD Cam that can pan 360 degrees and tilt 180 degrees.

How To Set Up Wyze Cam Pan V3:
* In my experience, I needed to insert the SD card into the SD card slot to get the Wyze cam Pan V3 to get set up.
1. Insert the Micro SD card into the Wyze Cam Pan V3
2. Plug in the Wyze Cam Pan V3.
3. Download the Wyze App and login with a username and password.
4. Click the + symbol on the home screen to add a device.
5. Choose add a device
6. Click on Wyze Cam Pan V3 to set up the camera.
7. Follow the remaining instructions to set up the Wyze Cam V3.

If you are having issues setting up your Wyze Cam Pan V3 try these two things`
1. Make sure you have an SD card inserted.
2. You can factory reset the device by doing the following: With the Wyze Cam Pan V3 unplugged, hold down the setup button and continue holding it while you plug it in and power it up. Don't let up on holding down the setup button. Continue the holding down the setup button for a 15 seconds until the Wyze Cam Pan V3 factory resets.

In my experience the 1080HD Resolution on n the Wyze Cam Pan V3 is good and it has a clear picture. The pan and tilt functionality of the camera was intuitve and easy to use. The ability to storage footage locally on an SD card without the need for subscription can also save on monthly costs for video storage.

I've been trying to get the pan scan & motion tracking set up & working on my cam for 2 weeks & I just figured it out. Kind of feel stupid for not figuring it out sooner. All tou have to do is click the 🖊 icon under waypoints & set your waypints. Then where it says sd card, take photo, record, & privacy.. Put your finger on any of those & slide your finger to the left & more options will come into view. Now if you have motion tracking turned on. Make sure you adjust the sensitivity to where it doesnt pick up every little bug or else it will be moving all over the place tracking everything!

Thanks for adding that you were having issues with it connecting to the WiFi without the MicroSD card. Mine wasn’t as well and now it makes sense.

I actually have five WYZE cams, and one of them is the original Pan Cams, . It will follow track a moving subject. I am having trouble with making my new Pan Cam V3 follow a moving subject. It makes me wonder if it has this problem right out of the box. It is confusing as to what the setting is that causes it to track and follow a moving subject. If you tell it to "track", it appears you have to turn on Detection, but then it will only record when something is in the chosen view. I like the camera otherwise, but it is suppose to move and follow the moving subject. Still wading through trying to figure why it does not.

I want to mount this outside, but I need to get the power from indoors and go through the wall. How long is the power cord and does it come with this camera. Or do I need to buy another type of power cord? Thanks.

Your unboxing/tutorial may have gotten to Wyze, because the V3 (Black) I ordered came with a mounting guide sticker per box...😁

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE AN SD CARD TO SET THESE CAMERAS UP! WE HAVE PERSONALLY SETUP 4 OF THESES CAMERAS WITH NO SD CARD AND I ALSO HAVE 5 OTHER PEOPLE I KNOW THAT ALSO SET THESE CAMERAS UP WITH NO SD CARD SO IN MY OPINION MAYBE GETS A LIL KICKBACK FROM SALES OF SD CARDS. IF IM WRONG IM SORRY BUT EVERYONE IVE ASKED SAID THE SAME THING AND THEY ARE ALL THE PAN 3 CAMERAS
