Runner's knee tends to be a fairly common and uncomfortable injury among runners and with any activity that repetitively bends the knee, like squats.
This annoying knee pain injury can cause a dull, aching pain under or behind the kneecap, swelling, and even a popping or grinding sensation in the knee.
These symptoms appear due to irritation in the soft tissues, worn or torn cartilage or even tendons around the knee (including the IT band).
Dr Kristie shows you the exercises and steps you need to take to get your knee feeling better fast; from soft tissue release to strengthening.

Hello! Thank you for this helpful video. I’m currently suffering from runner’s knee on the right side while trying to recover postpartum. While doing these exercises daily, What can I expect for time needed to heal enough to get back to slowly running on soft surfaces?

Great Video Dr. Ennis. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and contagious smile. I have sever weakness in my left glute and I think your video can help with that. Can I do this Mon-Fri or how often would you suggest to do this routine? I would also like to add the 'Top 5 Glute exercises for knee pain' into my routine as well. Do you think that would be too much?

What bands do you use on the ankles in the video? I have never used bands but heard they can break and hurt you so I am wondering if there is a type of band to avoid also.
