I love my Oura ring too! So much more comfortable than smart watches/bands. Plus it tackles a more holistic and wellness approach compared to other smart devices, which is better for activity. The cycle tracking and battery life is super awesome! And another interesting thing is it detects illness before you feel anything. Also, it was very accurate when it comes on tracking my sleep. You can actually protect its beauty without sacrificing biometrics and comfort with an OSleeve.

Does oura also Sync the Heat rate from a workout on Strava only recorded with a garmin device, so without having worn the ring during that workout

Great feature! Having to go thru Google fit is not great I have the oura ring 2 and don't see the Strava integration yet - maybe it's for ring 3 users only or maybe it's not on Android yet.

Des, have you done an Oura Ring review? Did I miss it?? I am sort of interested to see if you see it as something important, especially since you (1) have so many fitness/health related gadgets and (2) you have a pretty great understanding of your health metrics. I have been thinking of getting one, simply because I don't like to wear watches very much anymore.

The feature primarily missing from the Oura Ring that keeps me from purchasing it would be the ability to start a workout from the ring itself, and not my phone. That feature (which all fitness tracking watches have) is crucial when my phone is stuffed into a running fanny pack long before I start running. Given that the ring doesn't have a screen, I'm curious if some innovation could be utilized to start basic workouts - bike, run, etc - with a double-tap to the surface of the ring.

Anyone else hung up on this?

Great video but I am very dissapointed with Strava data going into the ring. It's horribly incorrect. I did not catch it in time and now I can't delete the activity. Strava more than doubles the activity and is WAAAY off. It suggested nearly 900 calories burned in a 3.5 mile walk which is absolutely inaccurate. And that is while wearing a polar h10. Within a single day or use I have immediately stopped Oura from importing tainted strava data.

When I record with strava, it does not pull heart rate data from Oura post run, right?
