For everyone who is hating on LW can I remind you Daphne would have been married to that other Lord if Penelope didn't put that in her paper, Colin would have raised two children that are not his own believing their his for the rest of his life, so LW has said a lot of bad things, but she has done a lot good as well, also literally the Queen of England trusted LW to scandalized the Lord who was forcing himself on Daphne because the Queen knew that LW can get to everyone that's how big and powerful Penelope is.

The most complex season. I love it.
Colin finally loves someone who loves him back, but his hero complex and insecurities prevent him from seeing that someone can love him without him having to be their savior or their "purpose". Colin must learn that he can be loved just for being himself, and that's enough.

Pen faces the same issue; she has low self-esteem and still can't believe someone loves her and won't abandon her. Everyone in her life has left her (Pen's family emotionally abandoned her because they don't care about her in the slightest; Eloise, whom Pen cared deeply for, abandoned her upon learning she was LW, Society has never given her a chance.). So, she struggles to confide in Colin. Pen clings to LW because it's the only thing in her life that hasn't failed her. But she must learn that she's not alone anymore and her future husband is part of her team, and she must trust him.

Eloise needs to mature a lot. She's right to want to tell Colin, but as Pen's best friend for many years, she still doesn't understand Pen. Eloise partly fueled that idea of LW by praising LW's work, and maybe if Eloise had listened to Pen enough, Pen wouldn't feel the need to talk to a piece of paper. Eloise never understood that Pen didn't want to remain a spinster like her; Pen wanted to experience love, get married, and have children.

SPECTACULAR SEASON. Drama situations that make a lot of sense and with which people can identify. Love and friendship.

I feel so robbed, this was supped to be Colin and Pen's season yet they feel like sidecharacters in their own show and Colin turned into some sidekick who's there for supporting girlboss Pen

What i love about what Colin experiences for the first time in his life, is for years he has had casual sexual relationships with women (his brothel prostitutes, the women he meets on his travels, etc). He had the physical connection with them but not the emotional connection. He even said in his journal he’s amazed he could feel such physical intimacy and feel so distant /lonely.
With Penelope he finally has the physical and the emotional connection and intimacy he has been craving all along. He finally experiences love for the first time…. He knows Pen is his soulmate and the only woman who will bring him true happiness.
He finally found what he was always looking for in his best friend Pen.

This relationship is not rushed at all. Their chemistry and love has been going on for years.
