I can truly say this is the best first kiss in the entire Bridgerton universe for me. It’s vulnerable, it’s delicate, it’s passionate, it’s very conveying of every emotion it was meant to bring out. I found this moment to be one of the most erotic, romantic moments in the entire series. Penelope was filled with despair and self hatred. She didn't think anyone could love her. So in her most vulnerable moment, she asked Colin - the man she's in love with, her best friend - to kiss her. She didn't think it would make him feel anything towards her, because she had given up on this idea. And indeed, Colin didn't think he felt anything towards her too. But he loved her, and it pained him to see her suffer. So he agreed.
And then they kissed, and everything dissolved into nothingness. All of their prejudices, their ideas of one another. They got lost in a moment of true connection. It's just so special to me. This moment of tenderness, of finding something you didn't know you were missing - it's just so precious.

From the dialogue lifted straight from the pages, the way Nicola and Luke so perfectly capture the subtle emotions and looks of Pen and Colin, the gorgeous background score which amplifies the tenderness, yearning and sweetness of the moment, IT WAS SO WELL DONE. I was simultaneously screaming and crying in joy, it is by far my favourite Bridgerton kiss ever because of how they brought it to life right out of the book onto the screen ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥺🥺🥺

It wasn’t until this moment that he was able to even consider her as a woman and not a dear family friend. He already loved her, he just didn’t know he was allowed to love her in this way.
