What did you think of Part 2 and who do you think will be the focus of Season 4?

One bit that you missed is when Benedict said to Eloise that they will meet at the start of the next season at their mother’s MASQUERADE BALL. In the books Benedict meets his love interest for the first time at a masquerade ball. So that might be a hint it will be his season.

The monologue of Colin in the last episode after she confess. It was absolutely his most romantic monolgue ever the best honestly. Oh Colin finally.

The last two episodes of the season weren't great because the main coupled did not get enough screen time and a lot of original scenes were cut.. confirmed By of original screenings...
However, Colin and Penelope are the real deal. The best couple by far on the entire show. Real life real love is like this. Like he says, it's not a thunderbolt from the sky or a single moment. It is about multiple moments that cumulatively add together and you don't even realize when you fell in love. Part one was about them realizing their love, especially from Colin's perspective, whereas part 2 Was them being in love but fighting all those challenges and seeing another side to each other.

Just beautiful

I think waiting two years is a mistake as people will lose interest

Cressida was the most compelling character this season. She completely stole Polin's thunder. Portia was also fun to watch. I would watch a prequel about her.

I still don’t understand why Ms Cowper didn’t end up with Lord Debling

I have been a fan of the books since their publishing 20 odd years ago; I waited for each book to be released and bought them within days. I am alright with Benedict being bi-curious, the baby becoming Lord Featherington, even Michael being gender swapped to Michaela (although I do have questions how that will be explained as THEIR story centers around Michael inheriting the title after her husband dies and generally, women couldn't inherit titles at that time). I'm old, I'm OKAY WITH IT. The story telling is amazing and the sets and costumes are beautiful. I won't gatekeep storytelling. As long as they can make the story work, like they did with Colin and Pen's I'm good with it. Example: Eloise didn't find out about Pen being Whistledown until after her own book, To Sir Phillip, with Love, but she discovered the truth before Colin at the end of the last season. The writers were able to do a work around and it was entertaining. Too many people get snippy about following the source material closely, BUT those same people are likely to complain if it IS followed word for word (no originality I've heard). Sit back, eat the popcorn, enjoy the show.

I can't forgive making Cressida even mildly sympathetic. She was horrible in the books and I liked her that way. The actress did an amazing job though.

I'm devastated that they changed Francesca's story with Michael. That was my favorite book from the series. This adaptation went WRONG.

Colin stayed mad at her too long, we didn’t get enough moments to swoon over. Everything else was ok I guess. Benedict storyline felt rushed, wasn’t flushed out enough. Cressida story wasn’t concluded, Did she go? Did she run? Francesca was so boring. I forgot all about her. I don’t know. 7 out of 10 overall

What will happen to Lady whistledown? Now that everyone knows her identity she can't write any scandalous gossip without upsetting anyone so next season might be a bit boring with no proper scandals being exposed.

I thought this season was rushed and so much going on. But, still a great production!

This season had Pen:Colin ratio way below other characters. I would have liked an extended part of Colin reading Pen's letters to realize her writing prowess. Also, Pen should have written something for Cressida before her blackmail to show her true writing can do much more than gossip. Plus she never told Colin about clearing Eloise' name. It was half-baked in my opinion, but glad Kate and Anthony swopped in with the advice.

Part one overall was better than part two. But part two had some really moving moments. It also had well written exchanges, the best of which were 1. At Franesca's wedding, when Pen told Colin she didnt need rescuing she needed him to love her and stand by her 2. At the end, where Colin confesses his envy, and fully embraces the beauty and brilliance of his wife.

I view Bridgeton as a friend, watching each season is like that. Like a friend is visiting me and it is a wild adventure with many emotions. As soon as that friend comes I am so happy to see a new season. But when it ends I am sad, but Ik that I can look forward to seeing that friend again, next season. 💍🤍🧁

Overall I'm disappointed in this second part. I had enjoyed the first one so much.

I was rooting for Cressida to get out of her situation. I didn't understand Eloise shift at all towards her so if someone can explain I'd appreciate. But Cressida told Eloise about her parent's plans for her, her desperation regarding her celibacy, her need to get out so why did she consider Cressida to be such a monster when she said she was Whistledown ?
I would've liked to see Cressida and Penelope (maybe with the help of Eloise) work together and support each other to each gain what they wanted

I love the quiet love story of Francesca and John in the first part and the bit with Fran gay panicking when meeting Michaela cheapens it a bit like she was actually just settling with someone who shared similar traits to her but met her actual match in his cousin.

During the break between the two parts I rewatched season 1 and damn, Penelope was unnecessary mean to Daphne. And she actively chose to do that, so I can't understand why Violet would be proud or accepting of Penelope after learning that she's the reason why her family was exposed to scandal/her children disrespected.

Anthony and Kate were a breath of fresh air as always and I love seeing more of them even though they had to make them leave somehow, I really enjoyed the way they left with Anthony's speech on Kate and their child's heritage.

The relationship between Pen and her mom this season could've been great by the end but they needed to explore and resolve their conflict with eachother better. Portia has been killing herself trying to keep the family afloat when this whole time Pen could've helped financially, Portia hasn't given much thought to Pen before so her suddenly caring for her beyond Pen's good potential matches felt superficial still. Prudence's switch was also a bit weird to me but maybe I missed context on that one.

The source of Lady Danbury's conflict with her brother came out of nowhere as well. I don't remember her father being mention before ? So the conflict feels unatural and was finally just a way to delay Violet and Agatha's brother's relationship.
But I liked her friendship with Violet.

And finally while we were starting to get good moments and chemistry between Polin, I don't think they developed their relationship and attraction well enough in the second part, so as far as love stories go Kanthony is my first, Daphne and Simon 2nd and Polin 3rd for now.
