I will NEVER understand the oatmeal hate. Wild how these influencers don’t want to confront their ED’s and instead choose to crucify nutritious low cost options

Glad you touched on the six pack abs for women! I’m a postpartum fitness specialist and find this to be a common goal. I also think it’s important to note that the length of a woman’s torso plays a large part in whether or not she will be able to have a perfectly flat stomach. MANY of these influencers are also taking PEDs and hiding said fact from their audiences so they can sell programs.

Thank you so much for breaking down the dirty dozen! I was so paranoid about it for such a long time, but eventually I decided that it would be better to eat the dirty dozen than avoid those foods all together.

I had a woman go off on me on FB the other day because I stated that I was more of a proponent of practicing self-control instead of trying to create healthier versions of what they call junk food (i.e. prebiotic soda). Just eat junk food in moderation. I also stated that I don't use terms like healthy, toxic, or organic when I talk about food. This lady accused me of shaming people by telling them to practice self-control and moderation. Ok.

I love this! It has to be frustrating for RDs who go to school for years to see all this misinformation out there by people who have no formal education in nutrition.

That pesticide segment was the sequel to the hungry caterpillar 🐛 😂 “200 million peaches, 2 thousand acres of kale…”

Abby, you are the only person I’ll ever listen to when it comes to “diet culture” and wellness. It’s so easy to see someone with an hourglass figure and believe everything they say.

Thank you for spreading truth WITH evidence.

As someone who has been on a LONG fitness journey, thank you for talking about the six pack thing. I have come to learn (the hard way) that a lot of women, including myself, cannot maintain a six pack in a healthy way. I have lost my period for months because I was over-exercising and under-eating. Now, I am happy to say I my body fat levels are at a healthy level, I eat appropriately and I actually enjoy working out (and I have my period back, I didn’t think I would miss her until she was gone).

THANK I went on a tirade recently that “organic” is classist.

I love my protein oatmeal with Frozen blueberries, almond butter and bananas. It keeps me full for hours and no blood sugar issues. Plus, I love the taste

I'll join the oatmeal love. I had upper jaw surgery two months ago and I had to be on a soft/mushy, high protein diet to help in healing and because I couldn't really chew. Pretty much every morning I have been eating oatmeal with hemp hearts, flax seed, and cottage cheese for the bulk and then sweetened it with this pumpkin spice mix I made from canned pumpkin, spices, and syrup. Was delicious, kept me full, and had a bunch of good stuff in it. Also, thanks for the AG1 information. I ended up stopping my subscription because it was just too expensive and felt like I was doing a disservice for myself.

I have just discovered your channel, and I can't get enough of it. You are taking away all my eating guilt. I try not to listen to what everyone is saying and I try to discount a lot but I didn't have your knowledge of why. I still eat cheerios and the dirty dozen, now I know I was ok doing it and feeding my family the same way. Thank you. It feels good to have that guilt lifted off my shoulders.

Love this video. I’m a huge critic of these influencers and others who push diets, exercise programs, supplements etc, with no factual scientific evidence that back up their claims. Thanks for putting this out there!

I like that you remind your audience that practicality and accessibility is still key in regard to the ways we eat on a daily basis. Eating always has been political in some aspects, but it is more importantly a necessity and nowadays the propagandas are so extreme and contradicting that we end up confused at best, too hard on ourselves and, in the worst case scenario, harmful to ouselves nd our family. As an european citizen though I would just say that our vision of glyphosate is unforgiving and leaders have to take a pretty clear position on this topic because citizens and environmentalists are still pushing for the complete ban of its use. This battle is still going hard.

Your videos always help me regulate my thinking about food and nutrition, which is amazing considering the kind of content that comes up on my feed. Thank you for another amazing video!

I'll admit I buy a lot of organic vegetables, but I am doing it to support local organic farmers and I believe that it's better for the environment. That said, I totally get that it's a huge privilege to be able to do so and I buy lots of non-organic foods without guilt whenever I need to fill out my grocery list. There have certainly been times in my life when organic food was simply not in the budget -- and no one will convince me that a lovely dish prepared with conventional produce will harm me if my family more than not eating veggies at all.

3:58 LOL I loved the drawing and also I've never had a "Six pack" or flat stomach no matter what I did, even when I was at my fittest it wasn't happening. It took me years before I was finally like y'know what it's fine if I don't have this lol.

It creates fear and shame if you cannot afford to buy the wildly expensive alternative that these influencer's or EWG plug. Thanks for spreading the FACTS Abbey!
