The idea of “organising the events I would like to attend” is really lovely

In summer so many people go on holidays or away in some other form and so it can get quite lonely even though the sun is out and there’s more space to explore hobbies etc. (which is blissful but some days it’s nice to see some people on your own wavelength)

This summer I’m making an effort to keep my social energy stimulated and keep in contact with friends by texting at least two people a day, doesn’t matter who. And maybe we’ll end up calling or planning to meet up. Reaching out is step one to connect, it’s rare that others just reach out to you - I’ve also noticed that the more you reach out to them, the more they will reach out to you too. And yes it’s scary to reach out and social anxiety is not helping but trust me it’s worth it <3

Wow, Im so impressed by your views on this and the way you actively try to make London a better place for yourself, but mostly for others! I will move to a new city after the summer break and I am also thinking about making new friends that live close by. I would like to host game nights and dinner nights, so that my friends can connect w each other and they can bring new people into my circle. I can relate to this and it makes me feel very strange at times. I look at the older people they seem to have such genuine and effortless connection that I can't help but envy their relationships. I think I'm also an old soul in some ways ❤
