Did someone really ask Scotty Kilmer to choose between a lexus or a Mercedes?

I've owned a 1986 1903 2.3 back in 1995
A 2006 c240
A 2011 c300
A 2012 e350 and never had issues ever, I guess the key is propper maintenance

I’ve had multiple Mercedes W140s s320, 420, and 500 with over 200k miles. And even had a 1999 s320 with 475k miles

Who are the people still asking these Mercedes questions? We’ve been over this many times.

Owned a used Mercedes. Loved it before I hated it...

I owned 06 Mercedes CLK 350. Had it for a few years and had 115K miles on it when I sold it on 2016. The car was quite reliable. The only issue I had is the CEL caused by bad secondary air pump(this is the part only for emission. Cost 300 bucks to fix it. Nothing wrong with driving at all). Other than this, I only do oil change and other normal fluid maintenance. Mercedes and other German cars can be reliable if you take good care of them. Plus, old Mercedes will not be outdated forever. The car design still looks nice and classic in 2018.

Maybe I am just lucky so far, but I bought a used 2012 C300 Mercedes and I love the car. I drive 18 hours each way to my son's house in Florida 3 times a year. I get 28 mpg. The thing just eats up the trips and I am not worn out at all at the end of the drive. After the warranty was over, I have a fantastic local mechanic work on it with genuine Mercedes parts at a fraction of the labor cost of the dealer. I still love your videos even if you do bash the make.

Scotty, I have a battery powered toothbrush but I heard a manual one might be better? What do you think of this?

I work for Mercedes, but I drive a Lexus.

I’ve had a 2001 w210 e320 for over seven years. It has over 200, 000 miles on it. The only major issue I had with it was the alternator; A 140$ replacement that I was able to do myself. Most repairs for this model can be found on YouTube and be done yourself. Great in all seasons.

I bough a 1995 Mercedes E320 in 1999 and owned it until 2016, with only one significant repair in all that time: Replacing a wiring harness (less than $1k). I would probably still be driving it if I hadn't been rear-ended by a careless driver. Still, I don't think I'd get another one. I probably got lucky.

I disagree with you Scotty!! I have owned Mercedes since the early 90's, never had any problems with them! Depends on which car, like the S class, yes it can have problems, airbag suspension, etc! I have always bought the c class and e class, best cars ever!! My last Mercedes was a 2009 e350, 241k miles, not one problem, not one check engine light! If you put premium gas and full synthetic oil they will out last any American junk and Japanese! My father had a Mercedes with over 600k miles, no rust, original engine and transmission (no rebuilds), no major problems! Some people dont take care of their Mercedes right, so know who you are buying from when getting a used Mercedes! The best or nothing!! :)

I don't know... My sister bought a brand new Mercedes-Benz E-class in 2004 and still drives it today and has had no problems. My neighbor also has an CL that's maybe a 2010 or so and he's very happy, too.
