My first resto was a numbers matching 1970 Cuda-440. Seven years, $40k and a divorce later it was 100%. The love is the restoring it. Don't think you will make money on it.

The Falcon is a great classic car. I was wanting an old car, and I needed a small truck, so I got a '65 Ranchero. It's a blast to drive, and fairly easy to work on.

My current car (also my first) is a 1970 ford maverick. 200 I6 engine. Pretty reliable, super easy to work on and dam cheap to insure! As long as you do the work yourself they are great cars. Had it for 5 years now. Bought it with 38000 miles on the clock!

My daily driver is a '67 Cougar, and my wife has an '80 El Camino. They're both easy to work on, and parts are cheap and available everywhere.

I am getting my first classic soon. A 1977 Chevy Camaro. I watch your channel a lot and I have learned a lot from this channel.

I was just thinking about the first topic of buying a classic car cost effective. I grew up during the 70s and 80s, and I remember seeing lots of AMC Pacers. Yes the old "Goldfish bowls." I may want to buy one for myself. AMC (American Motors Corporation) actually made pretty good cars back in the day. We owned an AMC Jeep Wagoneer in the 1970s.

When Scotty said your car could backfire from low electrical output it reminded me of my 72 Riviera.
When I turned the headlights on that thing would backfire like you wouldn't believe. Now I know why.
Thanks Scotty great show you have.

Classic car I want (aside from RX-7 FD3S) 69' Corvette Stingray, oooh them curves. Black or Ruby Red, of course, looks like a beast in those colors.

I bought a 6-cylinder 1966 Ford Mustang as my first classic. It's just a little 3-spd, 200cid but it's mine.

yesterday I saw a couple jokesters on youtube making fun of Scotty. I left no comment or like/dislike. You are doing things well when you have jealous naysayers trying to get in on your game. I just ignore such crap. Yes, Scotty, only God is perfect. You're heart is in the rite place and thats what matters.

Beware of rust hiding below the shiny new paint jobs on the old classics. Pay less for faded or original paint because you are more likely to see where the rust resides. I know from experience.

I still have my first car that I got at 16 inv1976. A Chevy Nova that originally had 230 straight 6 with 3 speed manual. Saved up my money and my dad and I swapped in a 327 and Muncie 4. Ridiculously easy swap. Car is going through restoration and upgrade now. Lots of memories with that little Nova. Almost feel it is a part of me.

Get a modern classic like the panther platform. They are numerous and cheap to buy initially, the crown vic police model is a good example.
