Thanks for spreading some knowledge Chris.
Time under tension is what builds strength not reps and this is why people say you can't build muscle with calisthenics because most people do not follow that principle.

Other benefits;
No warm up needed
Muscle injury virtually non existent
You feel it in every fibre of your muscles.

Fascinating. All my years of doing push-ups, even slow push-ups never once thought to do a one minute push up. Excited to try this. Thanks for this! Update: Tried it this morning and felt a very unique rush that had my body craving for more. It was different kind of rush. This is definitely more challenging than cranking out reps which can get boring to be honest.

I totally agree with what you said there. It’s about effort, not about reps number. I started to train with eccentric pull-ups and I have gained a lot of benefits and muscle mass since then. Really impressive channel, keep it up!

Love this. I have been doing these static holds for a couple weeks and have seen drastic changes in my strength. I can't do an unassisted pull up or push up yet, but I can feel myself getting stronger by doing the correct form and taking my time. Thanks for the advice, love your channel.
