Recently I started high rep with heavy weights. Results are amazing. Basically I use a weight which I can lift only 3-4 reps. Then gradually I increase the reps to 12 reps. As soon as I reach 12, I increase to weight by 5 kg and again 3-4 reps. It might take months but results are good.

Heavy on the compounds, light on the isolation, at least that's what i do.

Straight to the point. Subbed.

I do both, heavy one week and low the next.

At first I started working out to lose weight 3 years ago. In a year I reached my goal weight with medium reps/weights and steady cardio 3 times a week. Noticed that it is really hard for me to actually grow muscle past certain point. Experimented a lot with different workouts. Even done full body scan (not sure if I translated it right in English) every month to check results of them.

Then, I started doing 2 sets of every exercise. 1 max weights till failure. 2nd max reps with low weight. And that actually worked wonders for me! So my point is, combine both.

Periodize so you progress from one to the other. It also works both type I and type II fibers. If you're training to failure and progressively increasing the weight then you're good. Not sure why people want a single solution, two is better than one.

Yes sir, my rule of thumb is honestly is if you’re going for muscle growth/mass, high sets until absolute failure is %100 the way to go. If you’re going for strength, heavy is the way to go

I like to train for health and longevity. High rep training is the lightest way to train for the body and nervous system while still resulting in great results.

(Heathy, 33, male. Been going to gym for 2 months now. Max weight I do on dumbbells is 12.5 lbs. You read that correct. 12.5. Kinda crazy to think but light weight and about 30 reps is all you need. Plus it doesn’t defeat you as much as a 50 would. Most the time people with those weights are just on there phones with the weights laying beside them. To each is own

I’ve been weight training and I’ve built muscle around my body especially my right arm, I’ve been struggling with my left arm so I Bought a BFR bands and resistance band will it help me?

I do both at the same training. For example bench press 3 sets of 5 reps at 110kg then 2 sets of 15+ reps at 60kg

Thank feck someone else thinks so! Nearly everyone is arguing one or the other, i like larger reps and finish with heavier stuff. And a full body workout every time.

In my experience it's best to do 12 week cycles for your compound lifts, do a 5x5 for strength, then the next 12 weeks do something like 10x10 or something similar

How ABT high reps with heavy weights😇❤️?

Ill pick higher reps any day (10 to 20). Much more sustainable and you get most of the benefits of heavy lifting.
