Viktor is right Ivan. Those people are not worth your time. They used you, and then threw you away when you didn't meet their expectations. If they only love you when you're on top of the world, then they don't love you at all. They DO NOT deserve you.

Even though it lacked subtitles, it was so clear what was going on, based on their emotions. The son is mad that the father is returning to the people who left him after he lost his first fight (with Rocky). Now that the son victor has won a fight against Adonis, everyone, including his mother, has returned. She abandoned him his whole life, only to return when he's winning. The definition of fake.

You know this is the first movie where I've felt true sympathy for the villain, and to be honest with you neither Ivan or Viktor we're the villains of this film, they only did what they had to do in order to make it through life, I'm telling you Creed 2 is a masterpiece

Gotta have nothing but respect for Ivan in this. He lost so his wife left him and his son and everything was stripped from Ivan yet he remained a father who raises his son and trained him into a beast.

Viktor complained about the people around the table. That they dishonored his father after his loss, he asked why they're there with them sitting at the same table after all they did to Ivan. He said that he doesn't even know that woman (his mother).
Then his father answered that he lost. He lost but Viktor won't lose and restore their name back to glory.

The Drago story made this movie a worthy sequel. They weren't portrayed as villains but as people with their own story to tell. They were the other side of the coin

I like how Viktor had the intention on standing up to his feet as well. But when he saw it was his mother he changed his mind and didn't. Nice touch!

The fact that that ivan said "I'm lost" was an indirectly nod to the audience that he feels like he had no one to blame but himself when those people, "his people" turn their back on him after his lost when victor convinced him again and again it wasn't his fault. It's sad when you think about it, a man so broken because his mindset keep on telling him, they wouldn't abandoned him if he could get the job done. Hell, his wife would still be his wife. This is ain't fairytale. It happens in real life too. That's why I believe that a phrase "the best one will stay" is suits the most for this father-son relationship, that when others leave, his son didn't and never will.

This scene was great. Ivan is overcome with feelings of love when his ex wife walks in... but yet does not hesitate to chase after his son when he leaves. Brilliant.
