In 1985, Russian boxer Ivan Drago killed former U.S. champion Apollo Creed in a tragic match that stunned the world. Against the wishes of trainer Rocky Balboa, Apollo's son Adonis Johnson accepts a challenge from Drago's son -- another dangerous fighter. Under guidance from Rocky, Adonis trains for the showdown of his life -- a date with destiny that soon becomes his obsession. My favorite part of the Creed movies is that the combos are crisp as hell.

You can't have Creed just take constant beatings to the head. He's tough but that is Rocky's style, not Adonis's. And in the 21st century it's a bad look.

So they show he moves like Apollo and has the will of Rocky.

Plus Michael B. Jordan is so talented as an actor that you are instantly invested in every move he does.

My gripe with this movie was that Viktor's presence was so diminished next to his father. Ivan Drago was a supervillain almost and a formidable and memorable antagonist. Ivan just looks like a lost puppy. It would've been interesting and scary if he suddenly turns on his father and tells him "you're not in charge of me anymore."
