This made me cry. Him saying " where your going has gotta be better than where you been." If apollo never gave rocky that title shot he could have ended up like spider rico.

Seeing how very few people came to Spider's funeral made this scene even more depressing.
The guy deserved a better life than the hand he was dealt with.

So sad to watch him check off all the important people in his life just wither away. He will be the last person to pass minus, creed and his son.

The older you get, the more people you lose. It hurts when people you've known for most of your life begin to pass away. Old friends and relatives leaving this world behind and you have to keep moving on without them. Little parts of you seem to leave with them, leaving behind a husk of the person you once were.

The themes to Rocky are masterpieces of beautiful music. They add such emotion to such a beautiful character.

Rocky is a story of time that we all will go through, we live our life surrounded with loved ones, every day we fight a new battle until we wake up one day to find ourselves all alone and the world has forgotten about us. Sad but true 😔😔

The fact that the music was the same as the older is what does it for me everytime. I dont know why...but it bring out not just the wisdom....but also the pain and sadness in Slys voice. It just grabs your heart and squeezes it causing that lump you feel in your throat where if u swallow...the dam breaks and tears come flowing out like a flood.

THAT is what makes Sly TIMELESS!!!!

Shame this scene had to be cut. Spider was a much loved minor character from the Rocky universe. The scene also gave insight of the the humanity of the Rocky story timeline that appeals to generations of fans from the 1970's to present day. A mistake to leave out this scene.

its so sad just seeing 3-4 people at his funeral not knowing spider rico its just sad but very touching and they should have kept it in it would explain why they trained in the desert.

I always cry at scenes like this because they are so touching and moving. People can call me whatever they want but these films are my childhood and it's something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Even when I grow old.

that music cue almost always played whenever an emotional scene happened in the franchise. I forgot all of them but it happens specifically when he is remembering someone from the past. In Rocky V, it played when remembering Mick. In Rocky Balboa, it played when remembering Adrian. I might just rewatch the first 4 just to see where else it was used.

All Rocky had left was Adonis but at the end he reconnected with his son Robert and meets his grandson Logan.

"I remember you saying that you had this daughter, but you couldn't remember where she lived because of all the shots you taken, so me and the cooks became like your family."

That line was absolutely heartbreaking. It makes it even worse that there were only about 4-5 people at his funeral
