Rocky sounds almost like Mickey in Rocky 3: “No he ain't just another fighter. This guy is a wrecking machine and he's hungry! Hell, you ain't been hungry since you won that belt!”

This scene is an absolute masterpiece. Poor young Creed has no idea the trauma that Rocky lives with and he's making him relive it. He watched this dude kill his best friend and now he wants him to watch his friends son be killed by the son of that man who took the boy's father. You can't even comprehend what Rocky is feeling.

"That's the same thing your father said and he died right here in my hands"

"So that's it, you walking out on me? At least you don't have to worry about throwing in the towel this time"

“That’s the same thing your father said, and he died right here in my hands.”

Best line in the whole movie IMO. I remember the first trailer and that line gave me goosebumps.

I love how rocky not only turned to Mick, but he also is resembling Adrian. He’s trying to stop Creed from hurting himself like Drago hurt him. Adrian was in the same spot and it’s this moment he realizes Adrian was trying to help him.

Rocky not only fought Drago to avenge Apollo, but also to seek forgiveness for having been indirectly responsible for his friend's death by not fighting that night and throwing in the towel. His reason was more solid and authentic than Adonis's at the time. Adonis was only looking to prove he is the best. *Rocky was right. It was different.*

Love this scene, exactly how Micky was when Rocky wanted to fight Clubber Lang, and Micky wanted to protect Rocky. Crazy how it came full circle how Rocky trying protect Adonis.

"You in this house all alone...who else you got?"
Damn reality sets in that Rocky Balboa of all people lost Adrian AND his own son (you know what I mean). Tears

Adonis has to understand that Rocky is harboring alot of guilt and regret for letting that fight go on with Apollo and Ivan. Remember, Apollo didn't want Rocky to throw in that towel, and because Rocky let Apollo have his way he died. Now Rocky is faced with the same exact situation 30+ years later with Adonis and Viktor. It's not an easy choice to make whether Rocky would've stood with Adonis or not... ultimately Rocky made the right choice and let Adonis be his own man, stand on his own, and make the decision....

Not stopping Apollo’s death has always been his biggest regret and nobody has ever scared Rocky like Drago. It’s a powerful scene for sure.

The Rocky saga was just as much a spiritual introspective movie as it was about boxing and about one man and one fight that changed his life, and the remaining fights that changed everything about him.

“He ain’t got nothing to lose that’s what makes him dangerous”

I never understood that saying until I saw it with my own eyes how hungry a man can be to get what he needs to survive versus someone who already have.

Rocky definitely sees a lot of Apollo in Adonis, he has his determination and will. But he also has his stubbornness and ego, and it was those very same things that led to his death. He loves Adonis like a son, and he doesn’t wanna see him make the same mistakes his father made.
