Picked mine up (7950x3d) 3 weeks ago for $540 usd. With the 7800x3d increasing in price from $360 to 430usd, I decided to go up to the next best. I am happy as heck, this CPU destroys anything I throw at it. and still goes toe too toe with any other high end gaming cpu on the market. Gaming, Streaming, and recording at 2k resolution all at once this card doesn't sweat at all. Makes me want to upgrade my monitor and convert to a 4k setup.

I bought this CPU at the beginning of the year, and I am very happy with it. Because I only game occasionally, this was the perfect mix for gaming and production capability, and I am happy with its performance. I personally haven't run into any issues with core parking or 3dvcache shenanigans, I just installed the latest drivers, and enabled game bar, whch is like 2 minutes of work total and been smooth sailing ever since. Even today, I think this is a fantastic CPU for people who require the processing power for non-gaming tasks, as well as gaming on top.

Two thoughts: [1] Real good job, very detailed Mr. Leo. I took many screenshots. And [2] I have all my components and waiting to get my hands (hopefully tomorrow) on the 7950X3D... and boy oh boy I wonder what "instructions" will be packaged with the CPU. I would not be surprised that AMD's (Leo's) instructions might not be bundled with the CPU... How many people will install it without checking all these new steps... (eg. installing drivers, BIOS update, etc)? I am betting a fair number. And many will complain that performance is just not there... I am sure that in time Windows will automate a few things, and BIOS revisions will be more commonly pre-installed... but for a few months, it might get hectic out there...

I'll be ordering my 7900X 3D tomorrow. The decrease in heat will make these even more attractive for SFF builds. I plan on sizing down and putting in my new Cooler Master NRP200 MAX build this week.
