I check out @AMD's brand new Ryzen 9 7950X3D with 3D V-Cache - is this the fastest gaming CPU right now?

Lots of questions to answer with this one - is it worth the $699 price tag if you need the best gaming CPU? Just how fast is it? Will you still see a benefit at 1440p as well as 1080p? I played Forza 5 on my 3090 at 4k with my 5950x at max-ish settings and the performance was to my full satisfaction and I wished for no more frames (I wasn't monitoring the fps).
