I'm really impressed by the efficient operation of the AMD 7950X3D, it's a BIG contrast to what intel is doing, ramping up the TDP and pushing the CPU to the thermal limits to get every last drop of performance. Personally, I like the AMD approach. In my mind more performance for less energy draw is more impressive than more for more.

Agreed. "Good Enough" performance and lower power consumption IS something they should be shouting from the roof tops. Especially for the vast majority who don't overclock. It would sure be nice to not have to replace my PSU if I want to upgrade my proc.
