Hi guys!! This year, I told myself that I will be doing a new challenge every month in 2021 to reach my goal weight, improve my health/fitness, and just my way of life. My first challenge for the month of January was walking 10,000 steps every day for an entire month! I share with you guys all the deets: weight, measurements, before and after results, and what it did to my body, both mentally and physically.

I hope you like these types of videos! I am going to be doing a lot of experimental challenges like these. Let me know if you try it :)

If you enjoy my channel I would love it if you can hit the thumbs up button and subscribe to my channel! :)

I finished my 31 days walking 10k+ steps daily. To anyone who is contemplating doing this, hope this helps. To give some context, I was 159 cms and 63.2 kgs when I started. Around the same time, I also started eating in a calorie deficit most of the days, no food was off limit. I am hypothyroid and super lazy. I usually do 1k steps or so a day 😏 I am not joking . So this is how it went:

1) after 30 days, I weighed in at 61.8 kgs, I’m glad
2) I lost a lot of inches. This was super fast to show- within a week of walking I could see my face fat slowly going and my belly fat reducing
3) where did u walk?: I paced up and down my tiny hall for 1 hour 40 minutes in the morning . I always chose morning because I wanted to be done with it. Certain days I walked for 60 mins and did Leslie’s 3 mile walk (around 4500 steps if anyone wants to know) for a change. I love her walking videos :)
4) I noticed I stopped being a couch potato after this. Usually I’m always lying down and watching TV. Now I am always pacing about. I am more active. Most of these days I realise I close my day at 14-15k steps!
5) I sleep so well 😁
6) do I walk faaaasstt? No. Never . I am lazy. I walk slowly. 😎 my average heart rate is around 120.
7) I choose some lengthy videos on YouTube and play it while I walk. Time goes by really fast.
8) will I continue this? hell yeah, I love this. And I like it because I don’t have to go out or anything. Walk in the hall and March in place when I’m bored.

If anyone is contemplating walking and has any questions, I’m happy to help.

Walking 10.000 steps a day on a treadmill can be extremely tiresome. It’s better if you go outside, get some sun and enjoy nature.

A couple tips from someone whose daily step count averages around 20k/day. 1. No car if the place you need to go to is 1mile or less away. 2. A great playlist 3. No lift (unless you have heavy groceries) 4. Get yourself a dog 😍 you'll get to your step goal in no time

You probably gained muscle, that’s why you gained weight :)
Muscles are dense and the more you have of them, the more fat you’ll burn, so your fat % might’ve went down, but the scale doesn’t tell you that

i’m on a 33 day step streak 10, 000 plus but i had been practicing with my hiking that i did everyday which wasn’t close to 10, 000 plus steps but now i just feel off if i don’t go out walking. i just do 30 mins 4 times throughout my day to get all my steps in. highly recommend because i feel so much better from just being outside. i’m not on a diet or anything but i’ve lost more weight and am finally out of my Plateau !!

I saw someone do 20k steps everyday for two weeks Christmas - New Years she lost one pound, which what she did was smart because she knew she was gonna eat a lot for the holidays and didn’t want to gain weight after words so she did 20k steps those two weeks and ended up losing a pound instead of gaining

Wow I thought it was me. I’ve been doing 10k steps for 30 days and I gained weight so frustrating. I will continue as I really feel better. Today I started weight lifting, hurting right now but will keep going

Here is what I did, .. I actually stopped Keto (due to hair loss issues with it).., but I did stop drinking sugary drinks and deserts, but otherwise wasn't low carb. I did try to stop eating after 6pm. I did a 1 hour a day walking with this specific routine: 30 mins of walking each morning (before eating my first meal) for easier fat loss. Then 30 mins walks after my least meal of the day (to prevent fat storage). Losing 6lbs a month, even after quiting Keto / Ketosis. If you started on Low carb, be aware that you will gain 5 to 10lbs initiqlly due to water / glcogen refueling, but after the first week started to lose weight again..

I think it looks the same or a little bit better before but who cares! You’re getting exercise in and being healthy! As long as you feel good and are being healthy, keep it up chief

I have been walking 15, 000 for 6days and I lost 4 pounds but I’m also on a high caloric deficit. You don’t need to lose weight you’re a healthy weight for your height, I’m not so I need to lose weight. About 37 pounds to be a healthy weight for my height. My weight loss is going to be faster than a 130-150 pound woman because I’m not at a healthy weight.

Your body looks so bomb and healthy mashallah! I’ve been on a bit of a healthier diet and walking more while also doing a bit of the weighted hula hoop to get a bit more toned, and was wondering if you do any ab workouts to keep your abs looking good? ❤️

You would be much better off doing 10k steps on physical ground because your muscles have to work harder to actually move apposed to the slight assistance you get with the treadmill

It seems like you have more muscle tone in the after-shot.

My first 10 days I lost 7 kg (15 pounds) but I think that was mostly "water" weight, if that's a thing. I walk 10-20k steps daily and at least 6 miles.
I have noticed a slower weight-loss although no idea about my measurement cause I have no before measures.
I'm adjusting my diet and planning on buying a weight-west to increase my heartrate or start jogging to increase my calorie burn

I used to weigh around 68kg, I gained weight and now i am around 80kg. I stated walking very slow very few steps and then i boosted, for the last 4 days i am completing 17000 steps and burning 1500 calories, I also jog to complete my goal faster and burn more calories, I controlled my diet, putting in more protein and appropriate cabs and no fat. I didn't lost muscle and my upper abdomen started shrinking in a week. I pushed myself like hell and I am happy.

Breaking the steps up; 10mins each hour roughly... Which is 1, 000 steps each time. I found that works for me right now. I can do 13k steps with ease!!!
