I've had mine for about a year now. Love it. The preamps are the quietest I've ever heard. In a good way.

I've had the 18i20 for a few years and it rules. Sounds nice, flexible, mix control is useful. Enough gain to use ribbons on amps and drums. There's lots of good stuff used out there, really nice firewire interfaces that are a little bit old, for example, but the Focusrite is great for a brand new unit.

I am a bass player, and the main problem I have with this piece of equipment is that it has way too many letters and numbers in its name. Definitely a no go for me!

I just got my 18i20. It's a great interface. Feature packed, built very sturdily, and a great device. I just got my set up. It's awesome!!

I treated myself to one of the first versions a few years ago and never regretted it. Yup, it has the odd issue (what doesn't) but nothing that can't be controlled or easily worked around. Plus it's expandable.

I've got a 1st generation version of this and completely agree. I'm so glad you didn't have anything bad to say about it because for me it was a pretty big investment haha.

I've had one of these guys sitting in the shed for 12+ months until the studio's built. One of the things that tipped me to buy it (other than great price) was you can link more than one if you need more channels in the future\. +1 for Robert G's comment. BTW I was looking at the Motu gear and nearly bought that except the nearby supplier was out of the model I wanted - so bad luck them.
