0:38 the year range you are talking about is from 2004-2006 for the notchback, and 2004-2008 for the Hatchback; in 2007, the notchback was completely redesigned and that design would last all the way to the Aveo's death in 2011. the hatchback got the updated design in 2009 and BOTH bodystyles got the newer Family 1 1.6L 4 cylinder engine RPO Code LXV. which would last all of 3 years (and is why everything attached to and part of that engine is STILL stupidly expensive at the GM dealership even after production ended 10 years ago.)

My 2011 Aveo5 LT is have been a good car for me the dealership had to do some motor work but it was under warranty didn't cost me anything and now after owning the car for 8 years I could have wheel bearing lower and upper tie rod on the driver side and putting a new AC compressor in it and a nice stereo system and taking a wing off of one from the junkyard and putting on it that's all I've done so far to the car and I think I'll tint the windows too then it'll be done Aveo power 😎👍

I had one, purchased new in late 2005, owned it for 10 years and 200, 000 miles. Just maintenance items. Not an issue with anything.

I have a 2008 Pontiac Wave with 277K and it's my daily driver. Take care of it and they will last.

I got a new cadalic converter and about a few months we by it started to give me problems. If I pull out to the road take off after stopping for stop sign red light it cut off or take a few minutes to go and I have to restart everytime I thought it was the fuel filter but if I have a full tank or half a tank of gas it would run ok but when it gets passed a half of tank that's when it will cut off as long as I keep pumping the gas pedal it will not cut off but it does not want to take off like it should it would just spudder or cut off I was told that it has something to do with the exhaust system but idk .

Wow i feel super bad for the person that tried to take care of their car. I hope they didn’t give up on caring for the next vehicle due to this experience

owned one of these pieces of excrement. the guy is correct. timing belt 1 went at 80K ($2K valve job). timing belt #2 went 20K later (quote for valve job this time was $2.3K). Sold it to the mechanic for $500 who fixed it and planned on using it for parts runs to the nearest parts shop. I learned from his son that timing belt #3 went a year after he fixed belt #2 and did the valve job I declined. it was not fixed a third time. GM should be bitch slapped for importing this POS.
