Just left the dealership yesterday. They brought the finance manager and the store manager to speak with me and they both treated me like I was stupid referencing these things on the negotiation. I just ended up leaving I hate the process nowadays.

Hey guys, I listen to your older podcasts all day at work and they’re awesome thank you. I hear Kimberly talk about her speaking to or having consultations over the phone. Where is that an available service on your site? Can I pay to have a talk with her or someone there before I go to buy a car to answer some last minute questions I have?? Thank you

Buying a Lexus at the same NJ dealer you made famous about adding a crazy amount of fees. They added OPTIONAL SALES COMMISSION (NOT REQUIRED BY LAW). How are they getting away asking to tip the salesman. They say it’s a requirement to purchase no way to remove it. How can something that says optional on contract not be removed. Hear this is common at a DARCARS dealership.

I just bought a 2025 Honda pilot touring AWD for $51k OTD in CA where the tax state and local was $4, 400. A dealership in Huntington was selling the same vehicle but a 2024 for $47.4k. Literally same vehicle, copy and paste. We saved the trip to Huntington by informing Spreen Honda that they could have our business but that they had to match the price. They did. Point is, a quick search of local and somewhat distant vehicles can be ammo to leverage a better deal. Know exactly what the vehicle is worth, how hot they are on the market, and that there will always be another deal so you can walk in confident that you can just walk out when the price isn’t right. You making it clear, by citing local markdowns and that you are willing to give your business to someone else, is how you have negotiating power. NEVER get fixated on one vehicle. KNOW there is always another vehicle out there.

It's incredibly ironic you showed a Mazda when talking about days on lot because I just tried to buy a 2024 CX-5 that's been on the lot for 197 days and they refused to go under MSRP. I even mentioned the age and they seemed to not mind lol. Best part, this was one of about 15 exact models and they didn't even have it on their physical lot and had it in an "overflow" lot because it was, I quote from the salesman, "taking up space we needed for other cars." AND THEY STILL REFUSED TO NEGOTIATE!! lol

I have a 2017 Mazda 3 with only 25k miles. Carvana offering me only $4k less than I paid out the door. Dealership tried to offer me $2, 400 less than Carvana. Told dealer “ok let me head down to Carvana and sell, i’ll be back in a week when the check clears”. Suddenly they were interested in entertaining what Carvana was offering me.

I guess with these rules to apply, you must be flexible on what kind of car and packages involved. I needed specific specs, for an entry car, and I was not going to budge. Therefore, I couldn't apply most of these things.

Went and drove a 2024 AWD Traverse. It is actually a very nice vehicle. I know they are 4bangers but I don't ever tow anything. Didn't talk about a trade in but wanted a OTD breakdown. The saleperson would not give to me. Said I could do that in the F&I office. I said I am not going in there without it. Very nice but still refused. I said I was this close to buying but sorry I will go elsewhere. I guess the idea is get you in there and hard sell you. I am not doing that ever again. Bought a Honda years ago that was part of the Hendrick auto group. Absolute worst experience ever for me. Learned my lesson. I hate them. I guess the ace in the hole for me is is I don't care if I get the vehicle or not. I will find the one I want at the price I want. Don't care when or where.

Still amazed that I got a fair deal, with few games from the dealer for 2025. Transperancy. There was an
issue with a/c, where that reduced the amount for trade in, given the potential costs.

I’m confused and have a question. When you ask for the out the door price, do you then try to get a better deal or do you take the deal.

I asked a question on your Ray and Zach channel and Ray answered it perfectly at 0:25. This is the best car channel imo.
