DPS Director should be setting a good example for people not about being above the law.

Remember that in the state of Arizona going 20 mph over the posted speed limit is considered criminal speeding unless of course your job is to enforce that same law, then it's educational. 🤥

Surprised the cop didn't offer to wash their car. With his tongue.

If this were me, the first thing I'd be saying as I walked back to my cruiser would be "I wish he hadn't done that. Because now I HAVE to give him a ticket instead of a warning." If I were the officer being pulled over, I wouldn't mention my badge or status AT ALL. That's basically corruption. We cannot operate on the rules of "laws for thee, but not for me."

He's the director of the Department of Public Safety and he's driving 30+ mph over the speed limit weaving in and out of highway traffic with no turn signals ... NICE.

It's just another example of why the general public has such a huge level of disdain for law enforcement.
Going faster than 85 mph is criminal speeding, a Class 3 misdemeanor (ARS 28-701.02) with a maximum penalty of 30 days in jail, 1 year of probation and a $500 fine.
Of course that only applies to you and me.

95 miles per hour and no ticket. Drive safe? 95 miles per hour and weaving in and out of traffic. No ticket.

Driving more than 90 mph on any public road in Arizona is not a normal speeding ticket, it’s “criminal speeding, ” and can get you a month in jail, probation, and 3 points on your DL.

It’s outrageous that these penalties aren’t even higher for the head of the state’s DPS.

At 90 MPH, the officer should have given him a ticket no matter who he is.

Observe the eyes of the blond female and how she looks at the officer with that...we are special people and the laws don't apply to us...gaze.

That is not “professional courtesy”. It’s selective enforcement. Rotten cronyism.

Coming from a former LEO,
when I worked traffic, there was nothing more frustrating than when you would give someone a ticket who was "Somebody" in the gov, just to be told 2-3 days later it was thrown out.
Makes you get to the point where you don't even want to issue the tickets because you know they would get thrown out.

We got a new Chief shortly before I left and he didn't throw any tickets out.
That was super nice!

The smile on their face when he let them go sickens me. Corruption at its finest. Yes, because he is the director he should be held to a higher standard. Another reason why we don't trust cops.

"Don't know if that will help at all" as he hands the cop his get out of jail free card. Without seeing another second of video, total corruption, disgusting.

The cop says to the Director of DPS, “the purpose of the stop is to educate people.“ I wish I had known that all of my 41 years of driving ha ha Ha I would’ve never paid any tickets but written a thank you letter for the education, instead.

aw, aren't they just the sweetest public servants you ever laid your eyes on

This man knows the law and should have got a hand full of tickets like the rest of America…, ,

I would have lost my car, had to pay a fine, spend the night in a cell and have to pay for the car being towed if I went 30+mph weaving in and outta traffic without turn signals and this department of public safety officer gets off with a warning. Now tell me the system ain't corrupted

Officer: thank you for allowing me to pull you over for reckless driving and allowing myself to seem like I wanted to look like a real officer of the law. Director: Good job young man and don’t let it happen again, I know your boss and I will be speaking with him tomorrow.

Imagine using the memory of a dead loved one/coworker to get out of putting other road users at risk of death. This selfishness is off the charts. Dude must be rolling in his grave.
