The Double A Replacement Drill is one of the most effective warm up drills you can perform. Not only will it prime the nervous system to perform speed work, but it will improve your running technique and mechanics, making you faster.

One of the keys to this drill is its ability to develop coordination between the flexors and extensors. Studies have show that athletes that develop this type of coordination are able to run significantly faster. It also helps strengthen the muscles in the foot and leg responsible for dorsiflexion so it will improve your ground contact. If you've been doing a-skips and b-skips you'll immediately notice the additional challenge that the 3 hops bring.
In addition to the above benefits this drill also helps develop good sprinting posture and hip flexor strength, helping you apply maximum force down to the track.

It's also about all the stomach muscles. The core strength gives you more stability and balance (you are in sync) during sprint.

My man Jeremy I remember watching his first day of track practice at George Washington high school. The team sometime run in the basement hallway which was an extremely narrow hallway, this man gave one of his teammates a head start, caught up to him, put his arm over him as he passed him in like a swim move motion because he was running so fast😂 and won the race 😂. Between him and Nathan Yorks GW had speedsters

My top speed at 18 was 37mph I didn't really hit my stride until my 6 step problem was I only could Cary it for 62 yards

I tried this because our running back ran track as a 300 lineman I almost killed my knees 😂😂😂😂 this is a regular sized person exercise it works for him but wasn't for me lol I almost died lol
