He actually looks like he's taking it pretty well. His ears are pointing and tail is up. Swatting and hissing is somewhat normal too. He'll love him in no time

1. Do not introduce cats immediately (keep them in separate rooms and let them sniff each other from under the door only for at least 48 hours, but maybe up to a week, depending on your cats.
2. Let the resident cat hiss and growl. Do not reprimand your cat for hissing or growling. It will subside and when she acting calm, praise her and give her treats.
3. You want to show her that good things (like treats and pets) happen whenever she’s around the new cat so she forms positive associations of the new kitty.
4. Put both feeding bowls next to the door on opposite sides so they get used to eating together and at the same time.
5. Only introduce once the hissing and growling as stopped for more than a couple days.

Hissing is a way of communication and all you need to do is love on existing cat and let them smell each other and slowly become friends by small steps

Perfectly normal they'd be cuddling together within 7 days

One of the best things you can do is b4 you introduce, take a rag, rub it all over your cat, especially the cheeks. Then rub that all over the new cat. They'll smell their scent on the new cat and it will help. Keep repeating this. I learned that from my step dad as a little girl. Makes a big difference.

Let that happen. Keep the cats separate and let them smell each other through a door. They will eventually get used to each other at least enough to tolerate the other.

When i got a new kitten with my older female it took her about a month and then she was playing with him and cleaning and cuddling too. So just remember they both need equal love and attention and it will all work out.

Jackson Galaxy will show you how to introduce a cat to a kitten. Way less stressful.

Cats are quite territorial. They’ll be pals soon. Just trim those claws.

All cats are like this I adopted a kitten in may and my cats were FURIOUS so I had to keep here in my room and watch her everyday for 2 months and then we finally let her out the room roaming free and then the cats started to like now they love her and never leave her side fr😅

Maybe you could do an update on the kitten.

My full white cat did the same thing. Someone told me to leave them alone in a room and when you come back later they’ll be fine. That’s exactly what happened! He hissed at her! I threw them in a room and ran! When I came back, they were cuddling! You have to let the baby cat submit to the older cat and they’ll accept each other

Honestly a great reaction let the older one assert his dominance

People should really understand cats are animals that like routine, when you change their living arrangements it's often very stressful.
A cat that's lived years alone with their humans often won't enjoy having another disrupt that stability they've become accustomed to.
Sure there's exceptions but usually socializing the cat with other animals from an early age is best and not doing so later in their matured lives when they've settled with a specific environment.
Cats don't like it even when you rearrange furniture because you've changed what they've become comfortable with.
