That actually went really well. A few hisses, but all the ears were forward, and there was lots of curious sniffing... but no real aggression. Kitten was even getting playful towards the end!

It's mostly the new unfamiliar smell the cats are hissing at. My cats do the same when one of them has been to the vet. Isolating the new cat in it's own room for a day or two, giving it time to take on the smell of the house, helps these kinds of introduction. That being said, it looks like it didn't go too bad overall, could have been a lot worst.

Adopted a mother/daughter combo back in December. They were separated after the weening process and had not seen each other for about 2 or so months. I was really nervous about reintroducing them. The daughter was immediately poofed up and hissing. Mom just walked over and started grooming her. Kid calmed down and everything was totally fine.

When I got my kitten smaller than this one, he was so confident and trusting right off the bat. Even when introducing him to the neighbours cat he just stood tall and unaffected by the neighbours cat growling and hissing and then just fell asleep infront of it. Interesting to see different cats have different demeanors, ever since I got mine he's shown me the beauty behind them (most of the time)
