Introducing a new kitten to our cats 🐈👼🏻

I hope you enjoy it still, and I just want to say I appreciate you being here and sticking around 💛

P.S I did keep Spicy in its carrier when he arrived (not filmed) and had the adults sniff him from the outside. I didn’t let him out until later that day, when Sweet and Sour seemed to be okay with it. From there we would allow them a few hours each day to be in the same space. And when they do interact, it is always under our supervision :)

This was so emotional to watch you go through this journey, between Spicy being sick, Sour going missing, and you losing your dear grandfather. That's a lot to process and I'm glad you took some time off to yourself. It must be so healing to have Sour back and cuddling with Spicy. It sounds like they've really bonded. Hi! I'm a new viewer that came across your minimal apartment tour. I love the Japani style too! This video is so sweet and I love that you were able to experience adopting a kitten on your own! It's truly something I cannot put into words, it just makes my heart so happy! I wanted to lend my advice for nail clipping as I know a lot of cats don't like it and it was a huge worry for me as a new cat owner! I give my cat treats everytime I clip 1 nail, even when I don't but pretend to, and eventually she learned that she would get something tasty from it so she let's me do it now. I can even have her sit on my lap, belly up, and get all her nails in one sitting like those cat videos you see on instagram 😆. I always treat my cat when doing anything slightly uncomfortable! Even when the smoke detector alarm goes on, I give her a treat so she has a positive experience with it. It makes things a lot easier! I'm not an expert but have always been interested in animal behavior so I like to think that it worked for me. Maybe you can try that out! Hope that helps. Good luck!
Also I just wanted to add that I'm so glad Sour was reunited with you guys! It's SUCH a terrifying feeling to be separated. My heart was pounding even though your videos are so calming! What a relief 💕

So sorry to hear about what happened to Sour (and to your grandpa of course). I can relate so much. My dog went missing 3 times last year and I couldn't bear it. Couldn't sleep, talk or work. Very cute! In a cat's world, it's all about scents. That's what their world largely consists of. Notice that they all immediately smelling everything related to "the other." After a period of time, their scents "mix" and they all adopt the same scent. That's when they consider themselves all part of the same collective and there is no "other." That evil Sour slipping out for an adventure! The call of the wild! They always remember where they live, though (although a cat will sometimes decide to move elsewhere on their own. My neighbor's cat liked my house better and just moved in!) Congratulations on being adopted by these three marvelous kitties!
