I'm a new christian who started tithing in January. I looked at my gross off last years tax return and divided by 12 for my monthly and then determined 10%, After my 3rd tithe I got a dollar and hour raise! Now I'm not sure how to factor that in. I don't work the same amount of hours each year and some of my pay comes from bonuses. This year's tax return shows I earned a bit less than the last so I don't think I should go off that. Not sure how to proceed any advice is welcome.

What about gross vs. total compensation package? My employer pays for some of my healthcare, and matches for the 401k.

If you have 20 acres of wheat growing, but the government seizes the fruit of your labor by taking one acre of wheat, is it really yours to tith with?

I have a traditional IRA that I plan to leave to charity. Is the yearly QCD subject to the tithe?
