I actually was not able to get out of debt until I started tithing

I'm still on any step 2, but I will always tithe, God, provides for me always. I have to do everything regarding what God says to do, not any human say.

As soon as I started to prioritize the tithe and be consisted about it, all of suddenly my husband started getting calls for overtime, I got an extra 8 work hours added to my week, Money was stretching more and more, we are more than half way done with baby step 2 and it feels awesome. God truly protects whats left in my hands after giving.

No point of having money if you can't give, your giving should increase as your finances do :).

“Giving is not a debt I owe, it’s a seed I sow” when we give to God it comes back EXPONENTIALLY!!!! It’s nothing that makes sense in the natural but it’s all supernatural ❤️

So glad you are answering this question - one I have wanted to know! And yes - giving as a habit now - where I am today, that's what I thought but needed to hear you say it

Struggled a lot with this, but I believe it's best to tithe and let God do the rest.

If you got more blessings than you can handle, maybe you do quit paying tithing. If you're trying to get out of debt and you quit paying tithing, you're telling the best partner you could ever ask for that you don't need his help anymore. Faith works when you and your heavenly partner work on the project together.

I tithed when I could’t afford it 8 years ago while barely able to afford food. Now I tithe what my income was back then. God is good

Suggestion, you can use time rather then money might be a way. Working 40 hours a week, giving 4 hours a week intentionally can also provide what you need.

Good message. Ever since I factored a set amount per month to give, it really is an amazing experience. I so enjoy deciding each month where I am going to give!

I was injured with nothing to do… I was mostly immobile and Billy Graham was on TV. He said, “If you don’t tithe, you’re robbing God. I began tithing. Months later Jesus came to me. I was tithing at least 4-5 months before I was saved. That was November 4th 1972. He has been faithful to me for more than half a century.

Amen!! And it is amazing to see the Lord continue to provide and bless you when you trust Him with ALL things... trusting God through tithing is a huge step in yielding our control back to Him!

Time, talent, and treasure. If you are not financially able to give money (treasure), you can give through your time and/or talents.

Is giving good? Yes. For your mental health. Look at these comments how people say they gave their money and then received blessings from God. If you give because you want to be a good person, you should continue to give, regardless of religion. If you give hoping to gain good karma or blessings or because someone told you its what you should do then don't waste your time!
