Love the person who did my assessment. I got told that the tests showed I was high on impulsivity and a little low on social cues, but that I did great on the IQ test they give you (I used to take standardized tests for fun). That my immediate family's surveys put me in normal range. But that my surveys and explanations on how I feel made her believe I had autism and ADHD. My internal experiences were actually valued higher than my external portrayals. And my family was essentially discounted because what's normal to people closely genetically related to me, may not actually be normal for a genetic condition

It wasn't hard for me at all I just had to wait 46 years to get it. And I did all the research myself.

I went to see a specialist last year to get diagnosed, after YEARS of begging the doctors to help me find answers, and he basically told me this:
You have lots of ADHD and Autistic symptoms, but you don't have enough of either to make a diagnosis. You seem quite insecure, so your issues are likely caused by not being confident. You're not bad at holding eye contact and you're not hyper or refusing to talk so there's no obvious giveaways. Come back when you're 18 😭

I’m 15 and I FINALLY got diagnosed with ADHD after a 15min test that said my ADHD was off the charts in three out of the four parts of the test

I'm a 33 years old male. I had every single ADHD symptom there is on the books since I was 4. Only my NEW family practitioner was able to diagnose me 3 months ago out of dozens if not hundreds of medical professionals i have seen my entire life.

Edit: you guys replies makes me so sad, it's just sad that doctors, professional, parents, theacher act like we are just acting up or aren't exactly the same. When we can't do anything about it.
